Sometimes I find FP’s pricing really hard to understand. New-condition bags sometimes cost less, while worn ones can cost the same or even more. I even saw a bag that was still available in-store, but FP was charging more than the retail price!I think because the old batch of capuchines brought second hand price down, so the new batch prices don’t sell as high as they should, plus people can afford buy $4,000 up, they may have a lot choices other than buying capuchines, especially specific deigns, may sit there for a while before it sells, that’s why resellers tend to not pay a lot for certain bags, and current market doesn’t help either.
If the previous seller sold for $2,800 (just assume if sold to FPfor $2,800) that’s not too bad, consider the other options, such as sell on eBay, would have to list at close to $4,000 to make it worth to sell on your own, and risk of get a negative review too, so good enough for $2,800 in hand.
That being said, I love capuchines, and yours truly beautiful 😍
But it’s still surprising to see such a steep loss, especially when you think about the retail price. That being said, I feel really lucky to have this seasonal piece
