I think because the old batch of capuchines brought second hand price down, so the new batch prices don’t sell as high as they should, plus people can afford buy $4,000 up, they may have a lot choices other than buying capuchines, especially specific deigns, may sit there for a while before it sells, that’s why resellers tend to not pay a lot for certain bags, and current market doesn’t help either.

If the previous seller sold for $2,800 (just assume if sold to FPfor $2,800) that’s not too bad, consider the other options, such as sell on eBay, would have to list at close to $4,000 to make it worth to sell on your own, and risk of get a negative review too, so good enough for $2,800 in hand.

That being said, I love capuchines, and yours truly beautiful 😍
Sometimes I find FP’s pricing really hard to understand. New-condition bags sometimes cost less, while worn ones can cost the same or even more. I even saw a bag that was still available in-store, but FP was charging more than the retail price!

But it’s still surprising to see such a steep loss, especially when you think about the retail price. That being said, I feel really lucky to have this seasonal piece:)

I want to add that this Capucines is actually a seasonal piece and quite sought after because of its unique handle style and color, so it’s surprising that the seller had to take such a big loss.

But I’ve experienced this myself—once I tried to sell my Kelly to Go, which was new with a full set, to FP, and they offered me less than half the retail price. It’s tough, but I guess that’s just how the resale market works sometimes!

What color was it? if gold, black grey they can sell for a lot more, if any other colors, don’t resale well, and wallet to go price had dropped a lot last year

I see, that’s a huge loss.
Exactly, it’s a huge loss, which is why I couldn’t bring myself to sell it. I just didn’t have the courage to take such a big hit. That said, I’ve noticed that FP’s offers can be pretty inconsistent, both for sellers and buyers, regardless of the brand. It’s definitely something to keep in mind when navigating the Fashionphile!

I went on the military base and guess who is there with their own little section? FASHIONPHILE! Along with What Goes Around Comes Around and Reunited. I took some fast pics to share!
