If they have a discount code for $4k or $5k I may participate lolFashionphile has a red envelope sale: $100 off is Snake100, $300 off Snake300 or $600 off Snake600 if you buy over $1k, $3k or 6k.
What I do during these sales (but not this time as Im not participating lol) is wait til the very last day of the promotion just in case the item you wants drops down in price. Then you'll enjoy a larger savings! Just don't do that on an item that is barely over $1k because if it drops, under $1k, it will no longer qualify for the $100 discount. Beautiful bag. Gosh you can ask but I seriously doubt they will. Oh, but you are still in the return window of 15 days so you can return it and rebuy immediately however I am not certain if the price will go back to the price you paid with the 5% or if it will go back to the original price. I've seen returns do both, so I'm not sure what determines what. I was told by a PS that they do a 24hr courtesy if an item has a promotion within 24 hrs of your purchase. The return and then rebuy is only worth it if you are local and can go to a FP and that you are able to buy with that 5% discount and then apply this new promotion.I just bought this capucine on FP. Do you think they offer price adjustment? I purchased it on January 16th but I missed it and bought it with only a 5% discount . Do you think I can ask for an adjustment? Thanks in advance![]()

It's a gorgeous bag! I love the color and the handles. I wonder how anyone could have given it up.Thanks for the info! I appreciate the advice. I’m thinking once I return the bag, they’ll repost it with the original price without the 5% discount, so I don’t think it’s worth the hassle. Also, since I can’t go to a Fashionphile location, I’ll probably pass on doing the return and rebuy.
I adore this seasonal Capucines with Kintsugi handles in like-new condition, and I got it at an amazing bargain, so I don’t want to take the risk.
Thanks again for your help![]()
Thank you so much! I was thinking the same thing—I can’t believe someone gave it up. Maybe it was due to a financial emergency? It’s such a special piece with the color and handles. I also wonder how much the seller let it go for. Fashionphile has to make a profit, so the seller might have gone really low. No clue what that number could be, though! Btw it was $7895 before tax. It's a gorgeous bag! I love the color and the handles. I wonder how anyone could have given it up.
Possibly $2,800 if size bbThank you so much! I was thinking the same thing—I can’t believe someone gave it up. Maybe it was due to a financial emergency? But man, if you’re lucky, you can definitely find a gem. This one came with the box, receipt, dust bag, and even the ribbons were still there. The bag itself is like new—I couldn’t ask for more!![]()

Because they already made enough money from you from the first sale so doesn’t hurt to buy back for $3,100.Wow, if Fashionphile only offers $2,800 for this bag, the original seller must have taken a huge hit! I can’t imagine why someone would let such a stunning unused bag go for so low???
What’s interesting is that Fashionphile is offering me $3,100 if I want to resell it through their refresh program. It’s wild how much of a gap there is between what the seller gets and what they resell it for, but I’m glad this beauty ended up in my hands!

I think because the old batch of capuchines brought second hand price down, so the new batch prices don’t sell as high as they should, plus people can afford buy $4,000 up, they may have a lot choices other than buying capuchines, especially specific deigns, may sit there for a while before it sells, that’s why resellers tend to not pay a lot for certain bags, and current market doesn’t help either. That’s a good point - they probably don’t mind offering me $3,100 because they already made a decent profit from the first sale. I bought it for $4,600, which I think is reasonable considering FP has to make money and pay their employees.
The real hit was on the original seller, who must have bought it at the retail price of $7,850. It’s tough to imagine taking such a big loss. Interestingly, I’ve seen the same bag on VC listed above retail, so it just shows how unpredictable the resale market can be!
