Yeah now that you mention it that makes a lot of sense. Thank god the other piece of cardboard opening was below it, but even that had damage. I'm actually amazed the bag is 100% fine

I'm also glad I live in Southern California where the elements aren't too harsh lol
Glad the bag is fine! And don’t let it steal the joy from your new bag! Enjoy. And maybe file a report with the shipping company if possible? Assuming it wasn’t sitting out on the porch? We have an issue with porch pirates in my city.

That is the right attitude to have! When I first saw the box I had a bit of anxiety. However once I opened it, and the bag was fine, the joy was back. I actually signed for it with a UPS driver, and I commented on the state of the box and he didn't really say anything. It would probably be a good idea to notify UPS about the box.

We have a problem with porch pirates as well. Anything that I don't have to sign for I watch for updates like a hawk lol.

PSA: Make sure to inspect your bags very thoroughly if the box arrives looking like this lol. Not sure if it was damaged in transport or if someone tried to break in :confused1:. I had it overnighted too, which isn't a lot of time in transit

Wow! What the heck! I bought a bag from Farfetch before and also TRR (or it may have been Rebag) and the box was smashed up and about 80% open! I was so scared when I saw it but thankfully the bags were ok and didn't fall out of the box! Im thinking your FP box got crushed. I'm glad your item was ok! I get my FP items sent to Neimans or I do a FP pickup because of what happened to you. Well glad yours is OK!

Omg TRR has the WORST packaging LOL. I also had packages arrive in the past from TRR that looked like they came from the downed plane in Castaway. Tom Hanks randomly delivered my bag a few years later..(bad joke). My last two FP orders, one was a pickup at a popup, and the other was an overnight that arrived pristine. Moving forward I will probably just avoid the hassle of waiting for a signature and potential shipping damage and pickup in person

Tom Hanks! Lol. Hilarious! Yes I'm glad FP gives us options on picking up our packages. I just don't trust how well FP will take care of me if my bag was stolen. I think if it was damaged they may reimburse me if I showed them the crushed box...unless they want to investigate with the delivery driver to make sure I didnt crush it myself. Lol. If my bag was stolen though....hum...im not confident they will file the claim and automatically reimburse me. I may have to fight for them to do it. Just too much drama so I'll just pick up in person so I have a credible witness! Lol

Yeah and I think I remember reading farther back in the thread someone had to have FP open the claim with the shipper and it took weeks to hear back from anything :/

Definitely going to pick up in person now lol

I've been lucky with regular non-FP packages but there are porch pirates around where I live too. So, I'll only pick up FP purchases at Neimans. I also open it on the spot as well.

Does anyone know the best time to purchase n Fashionphile (ie do they have markdowns/black Friday sales?) Also, anyone been to their NYC store? My work schedule is crazy packed so I’m wondering if it’s worth it to make an appointment just to go. How’s their inventory, do they only stock mint condition items etc?

My frustration with shipping to the store is they have no rush to get your package there because the return cycle starts not for shipment but when you pick up. Which can be nice!!! But also I’ve been watching my package get a full trip around the US via fedex on its way to the store for a week. It’s annoying. My excitement is waning lol.

Yes, I felt that anxiety before too. Until I was told by the UPS worker that the moment she scans your return, it counts. (so it's not when the return item is in FP's hands.)

Im not sure if I understood your message, but just to clarify if you want to return an item you purchased at FP, the clock starts ticking on the day your item is shipped. You have 15 days from the SHIP DATE to return. Sucks as it can take up to 7 days to get your item. So now you have only 8 days to think on it and get it post marked within that 15 day time period. I liked having the 30 day return policy they had. Gave me time to see if I really love the bag or if I'm just caught up in the thrill of buying a new bag. Lol

If you are shipping and picking up at the store, you have 15 days to return during that time period. It’s just below the part of the return policy you posted :)

Yes, imo, not that it matters to FP, it should ALWAYS be 15 days from when you RECEIVE your item regardless if it's shipped or not. To my understanding, (re what you circled) is for items that are already at the current location that you will be picking up at. So if you buy online and no shipping is needed because you are driving to the location to pick it up, then the 15 days starts at the time you go pick it up. However, lets say if you buy an item in NY but you live near the Carlsbad location (like I do) then I do believe the 15 day count down still starts at the time of shipment, even though it's a shipment from FP NY to FP CA. Anytime an item is shipped that is when you loose time. I could be wrong, and it won't be the first time, lol but that is what I believe it to be. I do a lot of instore pick ups at the Carlsbad location since Im local and thank goodness for me, the majority of what I buy is always at the Carlsbad location anyway. I don't pick up to get my full 15 days for return (although that is nice) but because I don't want to wait for it to arrive. Lol. Also less stress on lost, stolen or mishandled packages. I don't ever want to file a claim as it's not easy to prove your case.

Recently I have not been very happy with fashionphile. I got an "excellent" condition hard to get item that came in good condition. It wasnt in the dustbag but threw in the box with it and it has a smell that wasn't mentioned. It is really getting close to needing the edges reglazed. I hate to send it back because I will have to wait a while and I really wanted this item. I am so disappointed and I really am not picky. I paid retail for a used item. Anyone else experience this?

I feel rude for posting this.
