Thank you.I took a close look of both, the one you bought is the right one to pick, I can’t tell you the reason but the other one is a no buy.

I bought this bag only on 5% discount and couldn’t wait further😬It’s runway tweed I couldn’t get it back then it was sold out everywhere so didn’t take any chance. It’s very frustrating to wait for discounts. I bought it on Labor Day spend&earn event. So now I’m going to get a 600$ promotional code but I have to spend another 3000$+ to use this lolGosh...I just bought a Multicolor Greta Hobo bag in black shortly after it was listed on FP. Uuugh! Lol. I need to learn to WAIT. It's not very popular so no telling how low it would have went down Lol
Wow..yes this bag is a DEFINITE fomo bag. Lol. Grab it when you can. Wow so to use the $600 discount code the item you use it on has to he $3k? Dang. Here i thought I missed out buying my LV Excursion backpack 1 week or so earlier. Lol. I felt cheated as I could have earned a discount on my next purchase, but now I see Iit saved me from spending $3k just to use $600 lolI bought this bag only on 5% discount and couldn’t wait further😬It’s runway tweed I couldn’t get it back then it was sold out everywhere so didn’t take any chance. One of the ladies at FP told me the new director (or someone high up) that worked for Chanel but now works for FP, made a few changes and 1 was to concentrate more on selling and pushing things (sales) thru. Perhaps that is why there are more sales?I want to see their financials because they have sales once a month now and it used to be twice per year.
I just snagged a Chanel small classic flap, GHW, caviar, Barbie pink (2019/2020) for $7294.00. Excellent condition, full set with box, dustbag etc
Super interesting. That does make sense. Holding onto inventory isn’t good for business. It appears they are pricing way high and then offering sales more frequentlyOne of the ladies at FP told me the new director (or someone high up) that worked for Chanel but now works for FP, made a few changes and 1 was to concentrate more on selling and pushing things (sales) thru. Bingo! Yes! I've noticed they are pretty expensive now. It worked to my benefit a few times because I bought my items elsewhere for a steal and when I sold the items to FP (that I didnt buy from them), I made a little cash or I would break even or close to it. When I buy from FP and sell back to them, it's always at a lost. I only make money when I buy from other resellers.Super interesting. That does make sense. FP is the master of pricing, but every now and then they’d make mistakes too. Such as listed as vernis in fact wasn’t vernis, price was huge difference, I caught that one, made like $1,000 profit sold to another reseller.Bingo! Yes! I've noticed they are pretty expensive now. Wow! Great catch! I noticed errors in their descriptions at times with the color hardware being wrong or similar things down to the color of the bag being wrong (like I'm looking at a black bag but the description states it is red). They have some good price on Chanel and birkin now, worth to buy from them.
Especially inventory that isn't in the best condition, having bags with musty odors and other issues sitting around for months can't be good for the "bag cage."Super interesting. I've gotten bags that stated they had an odor. My first thought of odor is negative, but depending on the price and the bag, I take a chance and buy anyway. When I receive the bag, the odor is just the natural smells of the materials of the bag. To me that is not an odor. Lol. I think of something stinky when I see that word. Lol. Now if odor was described to be in a pair of shoes....forget it! Hahaha.Especially inventory that isn't in the best condition, having bags with musty odors and other issues sitting around for months can't be good for the "bag cage."
UPDATE: FP replied back. They are offering a $50. partial refund. "Due to the item being listed incorrectly."You're right. I am going to send them an email. The bag with the (utility) cut is a different bag from 2023. This bag with the tear is my recent purchase. I have until tomorrow to initiate the return. gahhh
Wow. Well the tear will devalue it for sure. If Chanel won't fix it try Leather Surgeons. I've never used them before but so many on this forum and YouTube have and state they do an awesome job. I would counteroffer to $100 as what is $50 bucks? I know it's something but still. If I were in your shoes I would state you purchased the bag not knowing there was a tear, and now that you are aware of the tear, $100 is fair as you will be paying for the tear to be repaired and $50 won't be enough and most likely you will have to come out of pocket. Ask them if they are willing to work with you on that. Are you able to get a full refund if you want one? If so and you don't mind giving up the bag just state you love the bag enough to keep ot however if they can't work with you and offer $100, you will just return the bag. Just be ready for them to call your bluff.UPDATE: FP replied back. They are offering a $50. partial refund. "Due to the item being listed incorrectly."
I am wondering if I should counter that offer and ask for $100.? I believe Chanel does not repair vintage bags anymore. I feel with this tear, it has devalued my otherwise in good condition bag. If I were to bring it to get repaired, it will cost more. Anyone have any thoughts/advice? TIA
