Am I just slow to pick this up, or have the condition ratings changed?View attachment 6019974
I have never had good luck with their ratings and always call the location of the bag. The advisors are more accurate and text detailed pictures. Also, if there is a smudge in the picture, the advisors will usually clean it off while I'm on the phone with them. Also, the advisors will give you the style number that is on the authenticity card - I've never seen it listed on the website description.

I'm not sure how this rating system is an improvement

Something about “shows wear” kind of puts me off though. Something that’s not in excellent condition doesn’t mean it shows wear. Maybe it’s just a bit slouchy from storage or a flap is curled a bit. I was more disposed toward the “very good” instead.

They should just post pictures of all possible wear so people can decide for themselves if they can tolerate. People have different tolerances too.

Yes, I totally agree! Just show us ALL the issues. If I recall correctly Fashionphile did show all issues at one time. I started shopping with them sometime around 2017 or so and I remember going through more pictures and seeing the details and issues. I did notice under each category that they have listed now appears to be a "grading scale" where it is highlighted. I'm not sure if that is the case but the highlight under each category got me to investigate that a bit. I looked at a few ilistings in the "shows wear" to see if that highlighted bar went more to the right or more to the left to tell us if it was on the lower end of "shows wear" or the higher end of it but the ones I saw were all in the middle. If it is on a sliding scale in all of the categories that would be nice and helpful. Maybe they are ALL in the middle and if so, they won't give us any additional info. Lol

Shows wear and worn put me off -- I expect something will be seriously wrong with the item that maybe I can't see in the pictures. I don't want to be pleasantly surprised by the condition, I'd rather know before purchase what I'm getting. I would also expect shows wear/worn to have a price point that reflects that condition, but of course they don't...
