The real question is what did they actually purchase? LXRCo has been dead, well bankrupt really, for a little while now...
So mostly client lists, contacts, and some stale inventory...
Maybe for tax purpose? Also that give them a foot in Canada? That way lots of Canadians will sell to FP Canada, FP can also sell in Canada directly.

Dang, now THAT would be some GREAT news!
As buying from them as is is such a pain! With duties and taxes, every purchase comes with 30% on top of the price so I avoid it like the plague, meanwhile, they have the best selection... Soooo frustrating!

Do you buy from ebay? I thought ebay Canada has lots of selection too?

That is actually what the email said. They had purchased the now defunct LXR. It probably expands their footprint.

Never got that email. Who got it anyways?
Now LXRCo never really had a good selection; lots of crusty LV bags, the occasional Chloé or Celine but other than that... But they had great spots (Hudson's Bay, Montreal Airport in the duty-free area etc.) with lots of exposure.
They had a lot of potential really if only they would work on improving the catalogue.
I am curious to see if Fashionphile will take over these locations...

I remember and agree I was never impressed with their items. It will be interesting to see what they do with it. Their email distribution seems to be spotty. I got this one but there have been several past ones that I didn’t.

Am I the only one who never heard of LXRCo?

Publicly traded Canadian pre-loved resaler with physical presence in places. Recently went under.

FP in general - what is happening? Not what I initially signed on for a few years ago.

Luxury market cratering maybe?
Can't wait to see what becomes of those huge collections of *investment bags* and other "financiarized" luxury items that are supposed to hold their values or whatever.
On the Youtube front, high street hauls are back among quite a lot of luxury influencers I noticed recently...
