Bulgari Serpenti Bag. Is It Worth It?

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your query but please let us know the outcome of your situation. I have a Karung Serpenti piece from a few years ago that doesn't have any problems (at the moment) as it's not used very often but I would be very interested to see how Bvlgari handles this for you (and if they charge you for the repairs). So far, their after-sales service doesn't seem at all satisfactory from your recent posts.
Thank you I will let you know!
So far I'm very frustrated and upset. The karung bag is just under two years old, the cabochon bag is newer than that so not sure why they're not holding up.
And the lack of service, clarity and responsiveness is really appalling.

Does anyone have the contact information for the Nyc manager?
I'm getting contradictory emails from two different sales associates and I'm very aggravated.
I tried google but I didn't find the manager's email address.
They have a direct messaging service called Whatsapp but I think that goes right through their general customer service support but least you get a quick answer. The whole thing is very very frustrating. I have a karung bag as well and so far still in good condition although I've been using the bag few times now even shopping to Costco. Hopefully they get back to you sooner and provide you with an update.

So I got an email saying that my karung bag can't be repaired in the Florida repair center, it has to go to Florence for more evaluation.
Um what?! The bag is not even 2 years old and I wore it maybe maybe 5 times in all.
Otherwise it was stored carefully. It shouldn't have these rust colored marks inside the flap.
Honestly I'm so turned off and even with a flawless repair, I will never be relaxed using the bag. I feel like it just lost its appeal.
I bought this bag for a milestone and now the bag is just spoiled for me.

I wish I could get a refund and put this to rest.
And yes I'm aware that it's only a bag, a material possession that I'm obsessing over & distraught over, and I apologize.

My cabochon does have tiny bits of peeling and oddly shows pinkish underneath the cream.

My karung bag doesn’t have the tiny split but it has a weird orange bit right inside that didn’t come off with gentle cleaning.

It shouldn't have these rust colored marks inside the flap.
These spots don't look like discolouration. It's just a bit of peeling, hence why you see the flesh colour underneath (pink/orange). These are natural materials and the topcoat is removed in those tiny parts.

And yes I'm aware that it's only a bag, a material possession that I'm obsessing over & distraught over, and I apologize.
You're allowed to be upset. Anyone would find it stressful.

Try not to touch those areas so as not to make it worse (you said you tried to gently clean those bits, but that will make it worse).
If you keep the bags in the end, it would be good not to focus on these bits. They're tiny and it would have happened eventually- all bags get scuff and marks over time. Use them, enjoy them, and rest assured nobody can see these tiny specs so try to love the rest of the bag without stressing about this. It likely won't get any worse so long as you don't rub those spots.

Are they sending it to Italy for free? Or do you have to pay for the shipping? Have they given you a quote on how much you will be paying at the end? I had experience it before but with my Chanel bag the boutique sent it back to Paris for assessment and repair. It took around 7-8 months from the time I walked in to the store and picked it up in person. The long wait is really annoying but I tried not to think about it as it stressed me out. In my opinion as long as they're not going to charge you with some ridiculous amount I'll be ok with it since you have already started the process and put all these effort and time.
I know in other brands like LV and Chanel they offered you a store credit if they won't be able to fix the issue.
No need to apologize- how you feel is justifiable. I'll be upset too but don't let the experience stop you from enjoying this bag. :) <hug>

Thank you so much for understanding and reassuring me !
No idea how much the fees will be either, I keep asking but not getting a reply to that.

Thank you that's good advice for sure!
And it makes sense that's the skin underneath, so I'm not sure what Florence would do?

They would likely replace the whole flap, assuming they have the same material from the tannery available.
It would match exactly because that is part of the reason you're paying the price for luxury, but it would take time for them to do as it requires them to open the stitches and reconstruct the bag with a new piece replacing the distressed portion.

Sorry that you're dealing with this because I do know how upsetting it can be. The only reason I suggest you just enjoy the bag is because those are points of stress on any bag (the inside of the flap where it lifts/rubs) and it really does happen to all bags to some extent. These materials are more delicate, so it happened far sooner than you expected, but it's not that unusual.
I hope they offer you a resolution you will be comfortable with, be it a return/refund or a repair.

Oh thank you for explaining, I had no idea they can do that!
I hope I hear back soon

Hello! Can anyone who has the top handle weigh in on the chain? Does it catch your hair or clothing? TY!
Hi! No not at all. The Bvlgari chain is actually really smooth and I never have experience any issue. I took some pics for you. I also have no issue of it digging on my shoulder but my bag has some leather part so I cant say. And I just noticed this little snake head at both ends.

Hello! My SA from Milan told me there will be another price increase for Bvlgari by January for a ridiculous reason that Hermès will be increasing their prices from 5- 10 %. Bvlgari and other brands under LVMH like LV , CD, Fendi etc will do the same. Up for prices down for quality- What a shame.

Price increase just happened overnight in Australia. ~8%, which is steep, and they already had a price increase in late 2022 if I recall correctly. Won't be buying that bag I was thinking about now!

Oh gosh that's quite a steep increase yea they did it around September I think as I was looking to buy some wallet on chain. It was like around 1500 I believe then it increased to around 1800 and now price is 2k so I didn't bother anymore. I am struggling to think of paying for something I could even barely fit my phone and my lip balm. To think the lv felicie can hold much more and now its cheaper than Bulgari wallet on chain.
