Day 0:
Arrived at the clinic at 8am. Did the usual covid pre registration and covid swab test. Clinic assistant will request for your pass port for registration.
All of these is done outside the clinic. Its only when you have a negative covid test, you will be allowed to change shoes and enter the clinic.
In the clinic, you will be asked to sign many papers. Please use google lens to translate all documents into english before signing. Please do the necessary due d for yourself.
You will be asked to pay on the spot, cash or credit card)
On hindsight, please prepare cash to take advantage of the currency exchange rates. I didnt do that because i thought they allowed bank transfers and as i was traveling alone , i didnt want to have so much cash on my body.
They will take some photos of you. Shortly after, you will meet with the doctor of your choice. I chose Dr Sommart after seeing all the post op photos of the various doctors. Please note he is slightly more expensive but its marginal.
He would do the measurements again and that's where the size discussion begins. He recommended 315 but i had a bit of boob greed and opted for 335 and that i wanted a small c. He said that was the biggest i would go for and he would recommend. He will advise that you will not be able to shower for 7 days. (Imagine the horrors, i am someone who minimally showers twice a day)
after which , the procedure begins. I have had a couple of surgeries in my life e.g. ent surgeries, c sections and endoscopic surgeries at thomson, nuh, mount e orchard. Their OT is definitely not as pristine as the ones in Singapore but its just a tad more worn than mountain e orchard and i am saying this because , even though mount e orchard is expensive it is really old and dinghy.
The procedure took about an hour or more. It began at 10 am, by 1130am i was rousing and quite pumped to go home. I was already drinking water and walking about unassisted by noon. I will attribute that to the post op adrenaline rush and anesthesia. Hardly any pain.
By 1230pm, i wanted to head back to hotel on my own but they insisted that i needed an escort. On hindsight, its good to have company but not necessary.
Back in the hotel, i slept all the way (45 degrees) till evening.
Day 1:
Bloat + pain + nausea begins.
You feel so bloated, you have no appetite but because of the meds and possibly anesthesia, you feel nauseous.
Advice: prepare eno before hand. Immediate relief. I didn't buy eno till day 4 And really suffered.
Pain level: comparable or less than c section. Discomfort is primarily from the tightness of the chess and bloatedness.
Medicine: cosmacare prescribed panadol (normal pain, tramadol (extreme pain) , domperidone (for vomiting)
I prepared Arcoxia , Norgesic on my own.
What really helped with pain management was panadol or arcoxia during the day and Norgesic during the night. Norgesic causes slight drowsiness.
DO NOT OVERDOSE. TAKE ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS AND TAKE EITHER ALL . DO NOT TAKE ALL AT ONE TIME.
Showered using all known methods to keep my upper body dry. I shampooed my hair bowing down to the taps like a dumb fool while wrapping my boobies with towels to ensure they dont get wet. Haha. You can try using cling wrap.
Drink lots and lots of water, please.
Day 2:
Bloat + pain heightens.
You look and feel like a whale that just gave birth. Mummies will understand. Your boobs are huge like they are engorged and your stomach is bloated.
Slept the day away with meds.
Please order porridge. Of all the food that i ate post op, i felt the best with porridge. I almost immediately regretted all other food e.g. burger, fries, korean ramyeon.
You will possibly only have appetite for less thann one meal serving a day.
Drink lots and lots of water + eno, please.
Day 3:
Bloat + pain + cabin fever heightens.
Took meds and tried to venture out on my own to platinum. Couldn't last outside for more than 2 hours.
I think at this point in time, the body is still very drugged out. Your responses are slower and you just dont feel yourself.
Advice: take walks in and around the hotel not more than 2 hours at a time.
Comforted myself with Hell's kitchen on Netflix.
Food: ordered thai version of their teochew porridge. Felt better but alittle homesick.
At some point in time, you may feel that the pink elastic bandage is causing you chest tightness and that you can't breathe freely. Do loosen it or if you want , remove it for a literal quick breather, but do put it back on soon. This helps the boobs to drop and fluff properly. Elastic tape and post op bra strap must be at the top boob area at all times.
Day 4: bloating + pain subsides. Bloatedness and pain resurfaces periodically. But totally manageable.
Appetite resumes slowly.
Finished my first complete meal (a bowl of yuzu ramen) at dinner in siam square. But almost totally regretted after that. I clearly over ate. Walked all the way back from siam square to hotel in pratunam to ease the bloatedness.
Dont be garang. Dont be greedy. Go easy on food.
Drink lotsa water + eno.
Day 5: bloating + pain subsides significantly. At this point i must say that you feel alot of less bloated but you look bloated. My waist before op was 25" and after that at day 5 i was 29". the aunties in platinum has loudly declared and confirmed that i can't be a M and i am a L.
Went to chatuchak in the morning for 4 hours on my own and came back. Managed to eat 2 bowls of the yummy chatuchak wanton mee.
Drink lotsa water + eno.
Day 6:bloating + pain subsides significantly.
First day having 3 meals. Eversince the misadventure with greasy food on the first 2 days, all my meals have been porridge and soup glass noodles. Please go light on your food.
Went for a review with Dr sommart. The wound hasn't closed completely so he applied more sterilization tapes and adviced that i can only shower 3 days later. My right boob has dropped alittle more than the left and i did asked about it. He mentioned that post op assymetry is quite common and it will balance out subsequently.
He did reiterate about the importance and the discipline required to follow the post op care procedures.
P.S PLEASE REMEMBER TO REGISTER YOUR IMPLANTS FOR WARRANTY.
Day 7: flying back to sg.
This is just my 6 days review. Will share more with time!
