I knew there was a box shortage but I was still a little taken aback when I opened up my new 21p CF that was shipped to me and got the stock box. I've been buying Chanel for awhile so I don't need an unboxing experience or another box in the house but it did feel like a bit of a "f you" when I just purchased a bag over 7k. All I could do was laugh.
Same here. And seeing your purchases packed in stock boxes cheapen the whole experience. So much for a luxury brand that increases the price of their products whenever they can!
There’s just no excuse given that LVMH brands, which sells more bags than Chanel, still have boxes. LVMH was able to secure box production even during a pandemic. Chanel could have avoided this had they ordered boxes way back when. They could have looked for other box manufacturers. But looks like they didn’t even try and just waited to eventually run out of boxes.
After my recent shopping experience at Chanel, I got an automated email from the boutique asking for a review. I gave them a favorable review but pointed out that the box shortage got me taken aback.
