Box shortage ?!

No, at least not in NYC. A friend just got a Birkin from their Meatpacking location and another a Picotin from the Uptown location - both bags came with boxes. Even Louis Vuitton which sells way more bags than Chanel does not have box shortage issues.I wonder if Hermes is out of boxes
Maybe the shortage is just within Chanel? Maybe their supplier ran out of materials for the production of boxes? And it does take some time to produce boxes if they tried to seek the service of other box manufacturers.
I purchased my first Chanel bag yesterday and got "the full package". This is in Australia though. I asked the SA about the box shortage, she said that there was no shortage in Australia, however, at the end of last year the had a period when they ran out of paper bags to put the boxes in
Lol chanel be like: never worn, comes with authenticity card and dustbag, NO BOX.
Please know I wasn’t being critical of you or necessarily him. Just the notion of the assertion!
Does anyone know if the boxes are back? I purchased two bags last month without boxes and am wondering if I should follow up or wait. I was promised a box later but no time frame.
i have received boxes with all my jewelry, belt, and SLG purchases lately but just received my first bag of 2021 and no box.
No boxes in NYC as of today. My SA said it might take a while for them to get the official boxes.
Received my Chanel 19 Flap with no box from Bloomingdales NYC. I was told there is a shortage as boxes are made and shipped from China.
My last 2 bags arrived without care booklets also...
I have bought 2 Chanel 19, Medium size bags, one from Bloomingdale's NYC and one from NM Beverly Hills. Neither came with a box. Bloomingdale's did send me a shopping bag, camelia, ribbon but nothing from NM. It's the caramel from 21P so I think I'm just supposed to be grateful?!? So Chanel.
I must say, missing out on the in-store experience and the packaging was disappointing. Would you follow up with the SA to collect your boxes? I RARELY resell my bags but would love the insurance of the box!

I knew there was a box shortage but I was still a little taken aback when I opened up my new 21p CF that was shipped to me and got the stock box. I've been buying Chanel for awhile so I don't need an unboxing experience or another box in the house but it did feel like a bit of a "f you" when I just purchased a bag over 7k. All I could do was laugh.
