Hi all!

Does anyone here have pictures of box in the colour Bleu de prusse? I’ve recently been given the opportunity to order an item in this leather and colour and would greatly appreciate any photos of how the colour looks in both bright and dim lighting.

Here's my latest find that I fell in love with because of the box calf and that it was just...entirely different from anything in my closet. I wish I knew more about this folding tote other than the leathers and year, but it's from 2000.

I waited and waited to get one from my home store but finally found the perfect one pre-loved! My new to me Kelly sellier 28 black box with PHW. I can feel some dryness but she’s from 2000 so that’s to be expected! I’m getting conditioning products recommended by Docride to make sure she lasts for many, many more years. Wow, this bag is my pride and joy right now! I won’t have to baby her as much as a new bag, the chèvre on the inside is so thick, and she’s just going to be a fun one to use and have as a part of my collection. I am absolutely obsessed with box leather!

Thank you so much for your lengthy reply! I was surprised to see how much you and I have it common my brand new Hermes bags sit in the box while like vintage ones are the ones most carried!!! Anyways, thank you so much for your reply, and I hope this is the start to many other box calf bags since the leather seems to be amazing!! Here is a shot of my trying it on! Yes she got a major overhaul.
All hardware are replaced (thus also explains her double hook). Top handle is new. This part that secures the hook (urm not sure of the anatomy name of it ). Also ordered a new shoulder strap. This was all done about 2yrs ago.

How long did the whole process take? She looks stunning!!

I just purchased a black box K28 retourne from the same exact year!! It is soo shiny and in surprisingly pristine shape!! Enjoy!

I will update this thread soon to compare my 1980 box calf K28 with my 2018/19 Box calf mini K and why not...my 1952 box calf K28! In general I feel these particular bags are not so different in terms of leather quality, sheen, thickness, etc. Let's just say yes, Box ages well!
