I love this period of the Raisin color when the stitching was Acajou instead of Raisin, too.
Ahh Quelle you just solved a mystery for me. So that's what the stitching colour is called. I was wondering because that's the one on my Piano.

Yes, to this day in the "approved" atelier stitch colors for Raisin, both Raisin and Acajou are acceptable. Acajou is also the thread used on Rouge H.
I know a lot of people like Raisin better with tonal stitching but I love to see a little contrast

Thank you periogirl, the screen has nothing to do with it....I think you are experiencing the magic of patinated box vert fonce. You can use it like a neutral black but it feels, looks and behaves like a color. It is quite lovely and fun. Plus the gold gives a delicious glow and contrast. This bag is from ca. 2000. I have a BBK from the 1970s who is taking her sweet time at the spa. Once she is back I will tell you if I see and feel a difference in the box leather. If you are interested.
I know Vert Fonce is a very dark green but there is nothing like seeing it IRL. I would love one in 28 Sellier! Congrats! I have no guts to do anything to my Box bags myself.
Thank you! The lovely Docride makes it sound easy and fun. And it is! Plus I did not have a choice....I won my first BBK32 at an auction in Dec, brought it straight to the spa. Since I am (was!) not used to spending much money on purses, let alone Hermes, the BBK is fairly basic, or.... naked: no lock, no keys, no strap but in lovely shape leather wise. So, I was looking around a bit to find lock, keys and strap and stumbled upon the green BK. A 28 with lock, keys and both straps. Once I got it, I took it straight to spa again because she was looking very very well loved. Two days later I realised I did not like owning 2 Kellys and not having one to use. So I picked the green Kelly up again and spa´d it myself. No regrets! Now I know every cm of my bag and like it. In addition, by now, I feel, I quite like the naked style and I am so curious to see what the professionally spa´d BBK is going to look like. (2 more month

Thank you QuelleFromage, great to know the name of my raisin contrast stitching. Acajou or cashew. Tucking little notes into my H bag boxes so I'll remember. My raisin is more casual, a Clemence Goodnews. Would absolutely love a 28cm raisin box Kelly.
I have just acquired this black box calf Kelly Sac a Depeches and I now fully understand why posters on this thread rave about veau box.
