Yes at first... I got to try my sister’s out fir a bit and fell in love with itI'm not sure about the B in the sellier as it looks a little stiff.
Thank you, could you share why you would turn it down? Do you have any Birkin Selliers and perhaps share your experience if it was negative? Thank you
HNY, makes perfect sense. Thank you for your awesome insight. I am a die hard Birkin Retourne fan. All my B’s are the “regular style” as some like to call it, that’s why it was so hard for me to make that leap. My SA was super patient and extremely helpful and I was able to try three BS in different color, sizes and leathers. My heart was set on Noir with GHW and I stood firm on that LOL and I knew how much “easier” it would be to get a colored BS but I knew it would leave me wanting if I “settled” on a color. I literally was having dreams of the Noir LOL. I also took a leap on the size as I love love larger bags so this wasn’t an easy decision for me because I went out of my comfort zone with “style” and size. I am sooooo glad I took the plunge. My SA called us back and we started the year with my dream bag. I know how hard our SA’s work for us H ladies. I had no idea that it could come with all the exact requirements and specifications I had requested. The addition of the perfect accessories and so black rodeo was worth the wait. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me/us. I took everyone’s comments and made sure I communicated with my SA through the whole process and I can honestly say that I think I love the Birkin Sellier even more than the Retourne and believe me, I was the most shocked out of everyone that knows me and my preferences.hello and happy new year! i don't personally own any selliers but have seen a few in person which has largely been how i formed my perspective! ultimately it always comes down to personal preference so maybe some of my reasons won't apply for you!
i thought the sellier's overly structured look strengthened the sometimes 'plastic' look that some people comment on. the normal birkins to me have the perfect amount of 'box-likeness' but also organically has a bit of slouch obviously depending on exact material. the sellier can look a bit fake for some reason - that was my first reaction when i saw it. also the 'sellier' is a new silhouette so i think many people aren't familiar with the look (not necessarily a real deterrent especially if you're a collector). i guess all things considered i just felt it wasn't for me
hope this helps!
Sorry for my delayed response, I had said I would get back to you...To my knowledge, at this point in time it's only in the smaller sizes 25, 30, and 35.
Congratulations and thank you for all your assistance sweetheart, you truly are an angel. Congratulations again and HNYI’m so in love with my B30 sellier noir with GHW I’ve been taking it out of the box just to stare at it.

And here with my slouchy B30. I thought it would look massive because of the rigid structure but it looks smaller IRL. When I took it out of the box I thought it was a B25. But the handle gave it away cos I can barely fit my wrist in a B25’s handles.
Thanks for letting me share!![]()
Perhaps you intended to quote @Ulf?Sorry for my delayed response, I had said I would get back to you...
We were offered the 40 BS but with PHW and different leather so we declined. It is out there. I did not see it because it was wrong leather and wrong hardware. Was told once we declined it was purchased by a male and he absolutely loved the PHW, size and leather so it made me feel good that it went to a good home. Let me know how I can help and maybe some of us on this thread can work together with our SA’s to get you your perfect BS. You would have to fly into the state of whomever can locate you one though, unless you have family or someone in that state, just a thought. Happy New Year.
With time it feel “softer” but it retains its shape so beautifully. No matter how many of my friends tell me that their leathers are “better” and try and convince me otherwise, my FIRST choice for bigger B selliers and bigger B’s in Retourne for travel purposes will always be Epsom. Weather wise, they not only hold their shape for years to come but are way more scratch resistant and rain “proof” than other leather in my opinion. Happy New YearDoesn't epsom become a little less stiff with time?Again, kind of a newb. Always learning from this forum!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience on B25 sellier!I vote for yes to trying a sellier birkin, they were not on my wishlist but my SA offered me one in size 25 anyway. I was hesitant at first and had second thoughts but then after 1 use I fell in love and it's now the favourite piece in my current collection. Sellier birkins look way better IRL than they do in photos. I personally think all H collectors should have at least one sellier B in their collection.
Let me ask my friend and get back to you ( possibly with a pic) I have a 35 and I wear it open and flap tuckedHas anyone else noticed that the back flap doesn’t tuck in at all on a B25 Sellier? Does this change over time or are they designed to be closed all the time? I‘m worried I’ll damage the gussets if tucking the back flap in - it just doesn’t seem to fit!

Here are a couple of pictures from a friend of mine (this beautiful bag is not mine, I reached out to her for assistance with your question, yes I have her permission to use these pics ) and she shared that at first it wouldn’t tuck but you have to work at it and then it will be fine. I found some more pictures on Instagram with the flap tucked nicely on the B25 but I don’t post others’s pictures without permission so maybe you can take a look there. What leather is yours? Do you mind posting a pic? Hope this helps. I have a 35 and had not much trouble at all, it gets easier each time but what I did was made the sangles super loose then tucked the flap and then tightened the sangles back up.
