In Vache Naturelle/Box/Barenia or any other smooth leather like Swift it'd be a big yes, in Epsom, Madame, Monsieur etc I'm not extactic. I feel it needs to be clinically/industrially clean or bust!

Do we know if these come with pockets, or are they like the HAC on the inside?
Yes, two pockets on the inside just like a "regular" retourne Birkin. One with a zipper and one without.

When I say close fully, I meant put the flap outside and secure it. But the same stiffness applies when I put it inside (how it’s on my photo and your avatar - that’s also how I prefer to carry it on my B35) - it doesn’t stand nicely inside. It’s hard for me to explain this feeling, it’s just so hard and stiff and not easy to put anything inside the bag or take out. Probably a combination of sellier and leather type. Maybe it “relaxes” a bit with time...

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a gorgeous bag and I don’t regret buying it, but isn’t practical enough as my work horse, which I hoped it would be.
I wonder if that is due to the size and leather (your 30 in Monsieur leather). I received mine in Jan2021 in B35 Epsom and my SA tucked the flap for me immediately. Once home I played around with it for a few days (flap in or flap out fully closed) and had no issues at all. Maybe you could ask your SA about these issues, they could always send it in and take a look at it for free :)

that is so so interesting. Thanks so much for your user feedback! Now I am truly curious.... do you prefer your “normal” 35 over this?
I find that the BS35, in terms of what I can carry in it, feels more like a 30 retourne B. sizewise.

thank you so much for sharing your experience with the seller birkin! I still really want one in the 25 size when I’m not carrying too much, more of a dinner bag than workhorse. Hope it comes my way!

I'm thinking about putting this on my wishlist for podium but unsure of size.
In theory a Sellier 35 should look a little smaller than a retourne 35?
B30 is perfect but might be a good idea to add a new size too.

Has anyone any intel on the price?
Dec2020 BS25 in Madame Calfskin $11,800 and in Jan2021 BS35 in Epsom $13,000

I think I’d use it more if it was more practical/easier to use. Having said that, I got it two months ago when I was 9 months pregnant, so I’ve been mostly on maternity leave since and had limited opportunities to wear it. Time will tell...

My other B is 35, so not comparable to the 30 sellier.

Have you tried loosening the sangles all the way and then tucking the flaps and then readjusting the sangles again?View attachment 4994348View attachment 4994348I just purchased this in Jan 2021. My SA tucked in the flap right away and added the Twilles. It took a bit to get them tucked but after a few attempts it does get easier....maybe because it’s a bigger bag? Not sure. But there is only roughly about 1.9 inch difference between a 30cm and 35cm if I understood correctly.
Yes I did try that, it's much tighter on a 30, and it still doesn't lay totally flat as it does on a retourne. I can see in your photo how the corners are slightly still lifted as well.

It now lays flatter it just takes some time. Most of the pictures I took were taken on the first day of purchase or within the first 10 days. I have only had it about a month or less.

Never worry about all the questions and always ask every single question you have until your heart is content. Your SA will understand the gravity of this purchase. I have the B. Sellier in a 35 and was told by several SA that, that is the rarest size for this B.S. this time around. So far there has only been 2 B.S in 35 Noir located, one with PHW and one with GHW (mine) both in Epsom. There are “a lot” of 25 and 30’s out there in a rainbow of colors. When I say “a lot”, I just mean there are plenty out there but are still considered rare for this style of bag and are said to be in limited quantities. In my personal opinion, the BS 35 is too small but I always carry a Retourne 40. For those that prefer smaller bags the BS30 would be perfect for your mom, especially if she carries a Kelly. There is no way in my everyday life that a Kelly would house everything I need so I reserve the Kelly for those special night outs when I wear a one piece pant suit and only need a few items that night. I have spoken to several ladies that had issues with carrying this particular bag open but once I told them to loosen the sangles as much as possible and tuck the flap in and then readjust them, after a few times, they had success. Epsom is my preferred leather when it comes to bigger bags that I am going to use as my workhorse. They are great in the rain and the water never soaks in and you have no watermarks, no stains and it retains it’s structured form perfectly for years and years to come. It’s not heavy to me to carry it in my harm even with all the stuff I carry in it but then again I am used to carrying a 40 so please keep that in mind. To me, going from a 40 Retourne B. To a 35 B Sellier is like going to a 30 Retourne in terms of what I fit in it. I will try and attach pictures for your comparison. In my opinion I couldn’t carry a 25 or 30 B Sellier as my everyday bag unless I reserved it for those days/nights that I only needed some makeup and a few smaller items. I would have to cut back the items I normally carry and then that would defeat the whole reason I carry a bag in the first place. It is always that one or two items I leave behind that I reach for and desperately need each time I do this but not everyone carries their kitchen sink in the bags like I do LOL just kidding ( but somewhat true) also, I have lived in Europe and in Rainy locations that turned in into a true Epsom worshiper. You mentioned Europe so she is going to love it, a bit structured and firm at first but with added use the flaps do not give me any issues and stay tucked perfectly. Hope this helps and ask away, we are always here to help.View attachment 4994058View attachment 4994059

Thank you for your very detailed answer and the photos. Your bags look marvelous! It's good to hear that tucking in the flap is possible. My mom already owns a B35 returne in black. Since I still wait for the SO B35 I thought in order to have a wider range of options offered I’d also be ok with a B30. Your description that a B35 in Sellier is like a B30 in terms of what fits into the bag makes me wonder even more if I should just wait and be rather empty-handed for her birthday than have a B which is too small. Ebene in epsom looks very similar to noir in the photos. These decisions aren’t easy during a time when you can’t just go to the store to see the bag in person. Ideally I’d get the SO until the birthday (since this is probably her dream bag) but I guess this is not going to happen unless there is a miracle coming my way.
I’m not afraid of asking my SA too many questions since spending more than €8k on a bag that is not 100% the dream bag is not ideal and returning a B to the store is not ideal either. However, I don't want to bother her with questions that she might not be able to answer such as functionality etc. I believe that you as avid users of the Sellier could probably tell me more about its daily use and functionality than the SA. So thank you for sharing all your expertise :)

You are most welcome. Please keep in mind, like I said, I am used to carrying 40’s Retourne B in my daily use so that is why I feel the structured form of the BS35 Feels like a 30 to me in terms of what I carry in it. My sister has a 30BS and absolutely loves that size and she doesn’t carry three iPads (2 different sizes) in hers like I do LOL. I think anyone that owns a Kelly (like your mom does) will absolutely love the 25 or 30 BS.

I have a Birkin sellier 25, Etoupe, epsom and in phw ($10800). I want to share my perspectives on some some pros and cons (for the B25) for those who may are considering - or lure some of you on the sidelines :biggrin:

Pros:
- It’s definitely different. A great addition to your collection as it adds variety
- I like the structured and compact look (also see con)
- It’s great for day to night transition (though I would not wear this to formals)
- Perfect size (B25) if you are someone who doesn’t carry much - especially when you are out on date nights and don’t need to lug along everything in your day bag
- B tote style makes it easy to get in and out of

Cons:
- it’s structured- not everyone loves this look
- because the edges are exposed, it -(especially the corners) has the tendency to bang into people and objects (could also be a pilot error ). This is why I prefer the B25
- the handle drop makes this mainly a top handle bag and if you have small hands, you may be able to slide it to your wrist - but it’s a little weird looking. If you normally wear watches and bracelets - then it’s even more difficult to slide it on the wrist
- this is great to add to your collection if you have other birkins, but if it’s your first one, you may not get a lot of use out of it as a retourne style birkin. I don’t see myself grabbing for this on a regular basis
- it’s not hands free so maybe not fit into your lifestyle if you are chasing after the little ones most the time
- this size is not ideal if you tend to carry a lot - but they come in bigger sizes so it’s not a dead end if size is a concern

I prefer the retourne styles for bigger bags but prefer the sellier for smaller bags (K25) so, for me, the B25 sellier is perfect. I plan to use it on lunch and dinner dates because in my day-to-day activities, I need both my hands (though I could use a few more).

Finally, sharing some pictures and mod shots of the bag. For reference, I am 164cm (5’4”) and a size 4/6.

Thanks for letting me share my ramblings.

Thank you for sharing.... wow, I had no idea how short the handle was compared to BS35... I can put mine on my arm pretty much all the way up.

Thank you . She is definitely a fun piece to have in your collection. I realize that my cons are way longer that the pros, so it all comes down to how they are weighted. We all need to make informed decisions when we are looking to spend our hard earned money and weight all our options (rolling my own eyes here ). If, at the end of the day, you have accessed all the cons and still want one - it’s time to update your wishlist :graucho: I hope you will get one soon!!! Are you also considering a B25 or another size?

Yes, handle space is almost non-existent on B25. The furthest I can go is 1/2 up my forearm but I always fear the metal from my watch/ jewelry will scratch it.

For me there's no cons except the handle drop can be a PITA at times.
I have several B25 and K Sellier so now I need them to make a baby and I'll be happy bawhahahahahahah
