Certainly true for size 25. I feel we’ve seen B30+ offers in Epsom still on going though.
I got a B30 retourne in Epsom very recently - last month to be exact but I remember reading the news of it being made only for sellier version literally the same night. Wonder if it will be this way going forward.
Okay addicts, I need your help pa pa please!! Lead me my beautiful ladies to the right answer. I love love love my SA. And we just got offered a “new style” of Birkin called the Sellier Birkin and Lord knows I had my heart set on the “regular” style RETOURNE. All my Birkins are Retourne style. I had a Kelly once in the sellier style and my mother took it from me. I always wondered what a Birkin size (bigger than a Kelly) would look like in a sellier style. Now it’s a possibility but I’m still hung up on my “regular” style. Should I take the leap and try a different style Birkin to my collection? What are your thoughts and opinions? I vote for yes to trying a sellier birkin, they were not on my wishlist but my SA offered me one in size 25 anyway. I was hesitant at first and had second thoughts but then after 1 use I fell in love and it's now the favourite piece in my current collection. Sellier birkins look way better IRL than they do in photos. I personally think all H collectors should have at least one sellier B in their collection.

Happy New Year...we were offered a 40 since all my B’s are 35/40 since I carry my 2 tea cup Yorkies in them, I can’t go anywhere without them for medical reasons. People usually stare and talk among themselves but they are actual service animals. I was/am nervous to stray away from my usual picks and comfort but after doing some research, they are so beautiful to look at, it’s if a Kelly and Birkin were parents and gave birth to their love child lol.
Okay ladies what if you are offered a Birkin Sellier in the color and hardware and leather you dreamed of but you actually dreamed of a 35 retourne Birkin? I was offered a 40 Noir Stellier Birkin and for the first time ever was looking for a retourne 35 Birkin. All my Birkins are 40’s and my spouse and I had talked about finally taking the leap to a 35. We are so grateful to be offered the 40 cm Birkin Sellier and had it been a retourne in noir with ghw we would have jumped on it but a sellier Birkin? Again, this would be my first 40 Sellier Birkin and still nervous, any and all your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. After further research, I see the Birkin Sellier is beautiful and growing on me but a 40 in this style looks even larger than the 40 retourne Birkin. Again, your thoughts? I'm somewhat of a H newb, so take what I say with a pinch of salt. My first offer ever was a B30 sellier in veau Madame. My first reaction was, "Oh, it looks so stiff," but I took it because it was so beautiful and my first offer. Fast forward two months and I am quickly realizing sellier style isn't for me because I am a slouchy easy bag kind of person. I'm only 5'2'', so I felt like I was carrying a box around. I don't know if I'll ever become a collector, but one thing for sure is that I like to wear my bags to death and hate having them sit in my closet. The upside of sellier is that they're being made with lightweight leathers. Veau Madame was surprisingly so light considering it's size. And FWIW, my SA said she *thinks* veau madame will eventually become softer with more use. I'm guessing it'll become softer like how epsom becomes softer, but I doubt you'll ever get the slouch you see in softer leathers.
I have a B30 Sellier and it actually looks smaller than my slouchy regular B30. I thought my SA made a mistake and sent me a B25 instead. If you look at it sideways it is wider than the regular B. So if you’re used to B40s then I would say it’s not gonna look any bigger on you. I’m so in love with mine because I love both Sellier and retourne styles, whether B or K. And like what others said, the leather is very lightweight. I posted this pic here of a side by side comparison.
The second one is compared to a K32 Sellier. Which is wider and looks bigger than the B Sellier.
When I carry my B Sellier people’s heads turn tbh so if you don’t wanna attract attention and you might get self-conscious using it. It is because it’s very beautiful and classy looking; I don’t think half of them recognize it as a Birkin. Are you able to see it in person, or have to buy it sight unseen? I bought it without seeing it in person but it’s because I’ve dreamed of one since it came out last year. Good luck!
Doesn't epsom become a little less stiff with time?
Again, kind of a newb. Always learning from this forum!Will post pictures once we decide to take the leap....sellier Birkin will be a first for us, as we always stick to the “regular (Retourne) style
