"Nicole Kidman Reuniting With 'Big Little Lies' Producers For New HBO Series

Nicole Kidman is reuniting with the producers of Big Little Lies for a new series!

The 50-year-old actress is teaming up with David E. Kelley and Bruna Papandrea for new HBO series The Undoing.

The trio will adapt Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel You Should Have Known into a miniseries for the network.

“David has created another propulsive series with a fascinating, complicated female role at its center. I’m excited and honored to continue collaborating with HBO and David E Kelley,” Nicole said in a statement.

Nicole will star as Grace Sachs, successful therapist on the brink of publishing her first book. She lives in New York City with her devoted husband and young son.

Just before her book is published, a violent death occurs, her husband goes missing and in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, she must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself."

I've read that it won't run until sometime in 2019. It's a long way off because there was no book sequel story to follow so the author of the book is writing the sequel. It's difficult translating any book (already written) into a 2 hour movie but making it into a 7 hour movie has to got to be a HUGE project (I'm sure more than one person is madly working on the fabulous story). All the success of the first book/tv series will be putting a lot of pressure on everyone and I sort of think they are in an impossible situation, I understand everyone wanting to try and the money would be generous and useful for everyone involved in the project..

I loved the book and TV series but worry that the 2nd season won't be half as good. Everything was so precise and lined up so perfectly with all the stories, secrets and suspense, etc. Capturing that is like capturing lightning in a bottle and it's really difficult to pull that off a second time. A part of me would have preferred they just leave the book/tv series their perfect story and ended it there.

For the most part I loved it. I think it was not necessary to incorporate Meryl Streep into the cast. There is so much to explore without her and you know she'll get loads of screen time. I'd rather have more Laura Dern. Loved Nicole K and Reese W. Even Reese's teen daughter was believable. I do need more house and Monterey porn, though.

Agreed!!!
