Beware of the super fakes

Yes I think it is a 2011. I haven't used it in a while. I did try to see it but the consignment shop I trust said they should get less than a third of what I paid after their commission. It's my only lambskin Jumbo so I kept it. Maybe one day when I'm not so mad at it I'll start using it again. It's fitting that we're taking about this in a thread about fakes because to be honest that's what it looks like!

Yes I did and I was told rather rudely that there was nothing they could do. I have never has a pleasant repair experience. I think it's a Toronto thing. We don't have that many chanel stores so the customer service doesn't have to be great.

Yikes thanks for the photos! I saw one for resale and was so tempted. Never understood chanel's repairs policy. We pay so much for their bags and they cant even bother to fix something like this[emoji35]

Like WTF that chipping is unbelievable, they can change that mechanism and all the HW for sure they do with the gold/silver. I would pay to get it repaired, then sell it on

Came across clothing (Self Portrait, Guess, Versace, Herve Leger etc) as well as bag tags (Michael Kors, MuiMui, Prada etc..) for sale on the alibaba website and just thought to post it here so everyone will be aware. It's scary how tags like these can be purchased easily from an online store!! I am not sure if the tags themselves are authentic but the fonts and designs on them look pretty close to the authentic ones. Also, they retail for crazy prices like USD1 for a dozen!

I hear you. I am based in Melbourne and in all my experience, I found the Asian SAs here quite rude and lacking in common courtesy when it comes to serving customers who walk into the store whether we want to buy bags or send them off for repairs. In addition, there is a lack of an appropriate avenue to feedback to the managers, which makes the shopping experience even worse.

I’m in this predicament now too. I won a chanel double on eBay. It looked so real to me. Sold it to Fashionphile and they said it’s fake. Now I have to pay $75 to get it back to get my refund. PayPal is trying to negotiate for me though. xxxx

Sorry but if you can buy a $5000 bag u probably don’t live in Harlem!
I have a few comments.

Without knowing the brand too well and without seeing the bag, my comments aren't specific to your bag but generic.

1. When buying from the secondary market, especially at the pricepoint of Chanel, it's a good item to get it authenticated before and/or after purchase. Then you have protection within the required timeframes for filing a dispute should it be necessary.
2. Just because FP says it's fake doesn't mean it's fake. There are many posts on the
Will NEVER Purchase from Fashionphile again - WARNING! thread where the company has deemed authentic items as fake (and, for the record, vice versa).
3. If FP requested and accepted that you send the bag to them, you shouldn't have to pay to get it back.
4. Once you receive the bag back, I'd recommend sending pictures to and getting a pro authentication from Etinceler. The bag may very well be fake or it may be authentic. Let a pro make the call.
5. Commenting about where your original seller lives is inappropriate.

I lived in Harlem for almost 7 years. I had a closet full of Louboutins – and more than my fair share of Chanel. You might want to rethink your logic.

Hi,

Can anybody recommend online what would be the best place to get a vintage Chanel flap bag authenticated? I purchased it from vestiaire but have now doubts and would like to get it officially authenticated to ease my mind:-s

Mmm...Harlem has brownstones/townhouses that go for millions. Seriously you should rethink your logic it sounds baited with isms.

Anyway, don't trust FP and def get it authenticated. I have heard of certain websites even switching bags to send back to the owner a real- fake.
