Being Banned From Coach Stores - Did You Read?

A big part of the problem with resellers is that they keep bringing back all the stuff that doesn't sell. Let's say they go in, wipe out the stock of something new. When it doesn't sell, they bring it back, and by that time the store has to sell it for less. It's also been handled a lot, so it's not in as good condition as it started out, which also makes it less attractive to a prospective buyer. Coach isn't the only store that limits quantities, I think most discounters do. I know there's a big sign hanging in the from of Nordstrom Rack about it. I normally don't care if someone does the legwork and buys things to resell, but I hate when they get greedy and take everything. Just take a few, and don't bring them back. It's not the store's fault if they guessed wrong about how much they would make.
It sounds like it takes a lot to get banned from a store, I doubt I'd be complaining too loudly about it. I'd be too embarrassed. If I was going into a store and someone was outside complaining, my first choice would be to ignore them. I would be wondering what they did, I don't think I'd automatically blame the store.

I got the letter! And yes it is a little embarassing... but I did nothing wrong.
I can take a pic. of the letter if you would like.... It's late now, I will post in the am.
I like coming here, b/c I am an avvid coach lover....... It does make me sad when I see all the awesome handbags... and I will never be able to buy again.... well except from ebay.

omg, that sucks! What was their reason? I'd be curious as to what this letter looks like too.
PS- I think you can shop dept. stores and shop with a friend at a coach store where they don't know you....

I called the corp. office and she said it was b/c I went over the 3 limit rule. You see a $68.00 wristlet marked down to $16.00... who wouldn't buy it!!!
She also said that it was not that I spent tooo much money there and to call back in 6 monthes and she would maybe see if I can shop there again!
My BF went in there for me once, but he didn't get me what I wanted.... you know how men are! LOL! He said he will never go again!! I even printed out pics. for him to take with him, but they didn't have it or he just didn't know... ya know!

WTH ??? i would love to see the letter also, if u don't mind. This is sucks & unbelievably outrageous...
holy crap that sucks, im so afraid to return anything now, im returning 1 maybe 2 or 3 things when i go to the outlet on weds and now im soo scared to. i mean i intend on buying at least 2 other things but what if i get it too. this is ridiculous coach now has customers afraid to return stuff
It is a combination of things that will get you reported. The store manager gives corporate the heads up and they watch your purchases and returns.
I end up returning a lot of things, but that is only because I buy first and think later (lol whoops). I don't buy stuff for the intent to resell, ever. I only sell items I have already used and will not use again in the future (to make way for new stuff in the collection). Do you think it is only items without receipts that are flagged or what is the actual deal? Does anyone know? I don't want to get flagged for doing something that is part of my normal buying personality. I would hate to get banned because I am a shopping flake. 
me 2, i can never make my mind up and i dont want to be banned for that, ive actualy had someone from coach corporate tell me on the phone that whatever you do with the bag after you buy it is up to you, whcih would sound like they didnt care if you sold on ebay or not.i think i have returned like 10 things this year
Really odd - I was just at the outlets and saw someone buy about 10 of the same style purse. My sister and I were like - what the ####? My brother in law said "they are selling them on *bay..." We couldn't believe it.....that is just not right.
I don't think people should be banned, however, it isn't fair to clean out the store of stock either. There has to be an equitable solution - I'm just not sure what it is.
