how many times have the banned ladies on this forum been told to go to the press but they just accept it and do nothing?

heck.... there was the recent one that was a major stock holder and she just roller over... she would have been the perfect person to act as a representative by taking her case to the media

well... that is unless the people banned are really reselling... then it's kind of hard to take it to the media.....
I look at it like this.

Until you are in the exact position some of our banned ladies have been in, then only then will you determine whether it's worth your time and effort to try to fight it by going to the media. It's like they said about the internet, once it's on there, it's there forever. If I was going to light up a company about their business practices being bad (like banning someone) I would not want my future employer to use that against me when I'm searching for a job. Just like a person who whistle blows on their company on bad practices doesn't exactly come out in the open and take credit for it, who would hire them?

After all, who am I or others to judge or bring opinion about our fellow members because they didn't act in a way we would think we would do if in their position? If someone who owned stock didn't want to get the media involved and went to another brand, then good for her. I would not want to "fight" a company to spend money with them if they don't want my money. The economy isn't exactly on stable footing, so if my money is in "demand"... then I'm going to go patronize a company that treats me well as a customer. If that company does not, then I'll find one that will.

I agree with Bunny -
Every tiny little thing you post on-line could potetially be read by an employer or someone else you dont want in your buisiness - or if you have a security clearance and have to be extra careful. What some people dont realize that even if something is delted it is out there forever and ever. When I see young people show pics of themselves wasted or cursig on Facebook and ruining their future chances in life it makes me sad.
When you go for a job these days some companies check your credit rating, buying history, any litigation you are having or had in the past - they know everything and like I said - some people have to be careful or dont want the hassle of fighting a large corporation.

So true, unfortunatley people don't think that far ahead.

Great post! Exactly what I'm going to say.

If I were banned, that's what I would do. :smile1: I would just held my chin up high and move on. There are so many great brands who want my business out there. :graucho:

^Sadly, I have not seen many posters on here tell us how they stopped buying Coach because of how other posters have gotten banned. If hearing how others are getting banned for what in all intents and purposes is non-legit reasons is not enough to get someone to want to stop... then why do so many people patronize the company knowing that it's possible they could be banned too like other posters? Either people think that the company's practices for banning people are legit, or they think they aren't.

I just have a hard time believing Coach is banning people for no good reason. I guess I am an eternal pessimist, but I have to believe there are valid reasons people are being banned. My two biggest suspicsions are a) people are buying things full price and holding onto them until they hit the outlets, returning them to the outlets for a refund, and then re-buying them at the outlet price and making a habit of this and b) people are buying things, leaving the tags on them until the decide if they want to keep them (which if done withing a few months I have no problem with and can't imagine Coach does either), and then years later returning these things because they did not ever use them. Making a habit of this, to me, is a big no no and, again, I think Coach has every right to ban people doing this. Please do not misunderstand me, I don't think if a person does this one time it justifies a ban letter, but it is the repeat offenders who are deserving of a ban. :shrugs: Those are just my two cents.

Why is point b a no no when, as long as the item is not used, it falls within Coach's return policy?

I tend to agree with this. At least two people that told us they had been banned said that they were guilty of this on more than one occasion.

I agree, if Coach wants to say using their return policy will count against you then they need to come outright and say it. Punishing customers for utilizing a policy and not being specific about what they determine to be "abuse" of that policy is what may contribute to it.

People who hold onto Coach bags for years NWT then return are simply abusing the return policy. I can see why Coach does not condone it, even though it is allowed under their generous return policy.

Very true, I can see why they don't appreciate it, but if you are banning people because of that... then why do they still allowed banned customers the ability to STILL return products if that's what got them banned in the first place?
