I shlepped my 35cm Birkin around all day yesterday and this morning switched over to my spanking new 37 Mou Clemence for errands and grocery shopping. Love, love, love that Bolide! It was super-convenient at the grocery store and far lighter than my Birkin. FYI, I had the identical items inside the Bolide.

I still love the Birkins, though, and see room in my purse closet for Birkins, Kellys and Bolides. I'd like to add another Bolide -- a 31cm Black Rigide in an elegant leather, perhaps Box Calf or Chevre.

And the answer is NO, I don't use my Sellier Kellys as everyday bags. I would use a Retourne Kelly as an everyday bag, but no longer own one.

after about 5 years of buying every birkin under the sun............i tired of them. often heavy...no shoulder option etc. I love the bolide --its instantly recognizable yet with more of a question mark. unusual but highly functional shape...........goes from ladylike to chic to practical in a heartbeat!

IMO, The Bolide Has To Be The Most Fuctional. I Don't Own One. But, I Have Tried It Out ~ Inside Hermes! ;)

To Answer The Question ~ I Definitely Use My Kellys, As Everyday Bags!!!

^ oye. well if i ever answer the siren call of the bolide, it would be to the 1923 version.:tup: but then again, this is after i deal w/ the other current sirens (25 birkin and sellier kelly). ugh!

what can i say? i simply love handhelds...:girlsigh:

I am trying to use the retourne kelly 32 as an everyday bag, so far so good. It takes a while to get use to the lock :heart: (rain rain go away come again another day, princess KELLY wants to play)

Took my vintage baby out to play today and I'm enjoying it so much that I'm beginning to think I need another one!!!! 28cm Black Box SELLIER this time!!!!!!!

Ok, here I am referring to my own post and changing my mind completely. I spent the most delightful day with my 32cm Black Box Calf Sellier Kelly GHW and I all but drooled on her. She is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous and totally perfect for me.

I'm a director of an international organization and my work dictates that I dress up each day. Lots of tailored black suits or well-cut Chanel separates, usually worn with a strand of South Sea pearls and a 35cm Birkin or 32cm HAC. But the 32cm Black Box Kelly takes it all to a much higher level of elegance. What I'm wondering is, what on earth took me so long to give this Kelly the respect she deserves?

princessfrog, do try to use her everyday. Buy a Longchamp tote that can be folded and stored in your Kelly. (can someone please help me with the name of this bag) Whip it out when the rain comes, so you can store it inside this bag and dash for cover!

Princess Kelly is a beauty. She needs to see the world. Staying at home is boring!
