DQ the thought of you poking those two for this experiment just puts a smile on my face. a big one.

it's very amazing that clemence is so much thicker, has more of a body, as a leather, yet is still so mou-y. i must confess, that overhead shot that really shows the thickness (and is so amazing - can't thank you enough for posting that one!)... instinctively i am drawn to the thicker clemence.

I just noticed that this thread got WAY busy today!! Such interesting reading! DQ, great post of the 3 photos. I suspect that Barenia does come in different thicknesses (e.g. watchband can't be the same thickness as a Birkin) but will need to scrutinize these items and do my own comparison tomorrow when I can rummage around for H items without waking up DH. The Barenia of my Birkin is supple, it's a heavy bag wouldn't you say, DQ? (but it had a lot of junk in it when you hoisted it last weekend)...definitely no slouch factor but it has not been used extensively and has yet to develop the lovely patina of the bags posted on this thread. I think of Barenia as a denser leather than clemence. I'm pretty sure it is heavier but don't know by how much. So...do we think that Barenia in a saddle vs. Birkin vs. Kelly vs. watchband are all different thicknesses? Sorry if I am babbling....

Good points about the thicknesses, Pepper. I got my camera back tonight, so tomorrow morning (afternoon for most of the PF) I will take slouch poses of my evelyne. The little strap on the evelyne is more like a watchband, while the outside pocket is thicker, but still very bendy......

Pepper, if you would llike, you can send me your Birkin and I can make a comparison for HHeels. :graucho: Just in the interest of information, of course. :p I would be willing to do that. Really I would.

Tomorrow, when my DH gives me back my card reader I will upload pics of my new little baby, she is au natural. (Her big sister is a MM in Chartreuse, but this is a barenia thread!)

ah, but it has also becoming a barenia comparison thread;) so we would love to see the barenia next to the chartreuse (what leather is that one?)!!!

Indogo Barenia Birkin.........

OMG. And if it was a 32 HAC??!!!!!!!!
I am going to dream about this tonight, for sure!!!

Pepper, I am lovin' the way you think!

^^CB, LOL. Thanks to you I can't stop thinking about what miracle it would take to get an indigo Barenia Birkin.

HHeels, here are some pics showing the "softness" of the barenia.

Disclaimer: Evelyne was NOT HARMED in the production of these photos. Any marks you see on the bag are now gone!!! Do not contact Purse Protective Services! All is well. Evelyne is a pampered princess!

Here you can perhaps see the softness in the H shot. Then, she sits just sagging open a bit.

Now Evelyne shows her supple side even more, the minx....

In the second pic, you can see a little of the "bloom" as well.
