 I’m with you - not buying anything for the moment, probably sometime after Christmas or perhaps in the spring I’ll maybe buy something new. I recently passed on two bags which are on my mental semi-wishlist (1 new and one as new) because I’ve bought enough stuff for myself this year, so I’m content to wait till they come around again - and they surely will. I bought a green garden party in August, having wanted one in (the right) green for a long long time, and I’m still very much over the moon with it. I think that helps ;) I’m also waiting for a scarf, but that’s all I want for the foreseeable.
I love your phrase “semi wish list”. That is so accurate. There are things I’m sorta interested in but not enough to pull the trigger.
How about your black Whitney? Was it 16 mo ago or a present from Mr. S?

This year I've only one bag in, which is Burberry, the last piece of Bailey's creation. I'd say it's intended exception. Apart from this, no new bag(s) purchased if I don't count the returned ones or store credited ones. I've Garden Party on the way too, though, but will see whether to keep it or not when it arrives, so I don't count it yet.
Ohmigoodness. It was neither. I got my beloved Whitney almost 19 months ago during my kickoff crazy bag spree when I took DD to Europe for her college graduation. I bought 7 bags on that trip. 4 for me and 3 for her. LOL! My last purchased addition was the Jimmy Choo Raven I bought in August of last year.

I really need work bags. But nothing that qualifies (premier, functional and brand quiet) is exciting me. :-s

i fell off the wagon, hence not posting here, i had a couple of rare bags i could not afford to miss, then i had my bday and spoiled myself a bit (ok, ok, A LOT!) and just last weekend i got one BV, but that was kind of a 'last call', they are changing direction and older styles will be rested and i wanted to have this one in my collection. I figured out that ban is not for me

Was the Strathberry one of the bags you were looking at for a work bag?

Yea. Bans aren’t my thing either. Hard pauses keep me from buying on a whim or in the moment. But, if I see THE bag (or necklace or shoes or X), I need to be able to buy it without any manufactured guilt. Lol! My hard pause has lasted longer than any ban I ever tried before. I think part of that is because I know I can buy so I don’t feel deprived or restricted.

Yes! I love those bags! I’m still thinking it’s going to be one I get. I’m also still considering Polene.

I like to treat myself with premier bags but, as I mentioned, they’re all so cuckoo logo crazy this season that they’re a huge pass for me.

As long as you’re happy and know you made the right decisions to buy bags you love, will wear and can afford (which I know you have from chatting with you on other threads), 2018 was already a great year for you! The whole point of banning and pausing is to make sure we make good decisions about what and when to add. So, good job!

Oh, holy! I've had been trying to sell my brand new Whitney for almost 2 years then because I got it in the winter prior to your trip. Time really flies. I need to re-list it more often than once a while to be found more easily.

I've noticed that high ends are rarely functional, unfortunately. My most used bags are either from contemporary designers or small brands which are made of more durable materials and user-friendly design (comfiness).

Anyone got tired of Black Friday ads? This is first time for a long time that I felt very irritated on my way to work this morning - probably because I can't/don't want to join to shopping spree.

Actually my most functional bag is my Fendi By the Way. So I think functionality can be found across brands. I think sometimes we may get distracted by the pretty styles and finishes of premier brands and forget to hold them to the same function standard.

But, YES! I’m sick of the Black Friday ads. I’m not interested so it’s noise and clutter.

I should check Fendi when my ban ends. I've got my GP but on the fence whether to keep it or not. The leather is more coarse than I had in my mind. I still have almost a month to decide. It's great that I'm on a ban and the weeked is over soon. I need to survive cyber monday then I'm good the rest of the year.

Black Friday ads are torture since I’m on “ban” for anything for $300 until 2019. It’s not fair!! Lol. So many cute shoes going on sale UGH. I look still to think of what could’ve been
