l have moved into 'no new funds, but yes to new bags if I have funds from selling' land. I don't know what to call this Bermuda triangle of a place I'm in.
But I'm enjoying it!!!

YES YES YES. Especially to the second quote.Good article, ladies -
”If you choose to browse, you will almost always find something to buy.”
“...the value of an object comes out when we actually use it—not simply because we own it.”

i don't browse on purposeHas anyone stopped looking at bags to buy, whether now or in the future?
I fee ban island for most of us is really just a pause, it really is hard to stop browsing.
i don't browse on purpose
i do not look at the new collections
i do not open those few newsletters that still get through all spam filters and hit my inbox, i just delete them
but i see some bags especially on eb@y when i help with authentication, or check in to see my listings
But so far i keep this under control![]()
I haven't stopped looking - I really do need another black purse. The only one I have is the Loewe Puzzle ( I don't count the ones that are specialized usage bags), and I wear it more than all my other bags. I feel another black bag would be a good idea to keep me from wearing that one to death prematurely.Has anyone stopped looking at bags to buy, whether now or in the future?

Ebay browsing = mindless snacking but with out the calories.I need to get to that point, don’t browse on purpose. Sometimes I end up doing it when I’ve tired of all the other distractions I have.
Gotta try to be better like you!
eBay lately has been tempting as they pop up when I’m trying to get pricing ideas for items I want to sell.
Thanks for sharing the link, it was a good read. I agree with @Sparkletastic on the thumbs up on the second quote.Good article, ladies -

I'm buying pretty straps and charms to breathe new life into my existing bags. I am so late to this trend of pretty straps.

But I look, and look. And then look some more.
I don't know exactly what I want yet - or I think I do but I'm not sure because I can't try one to see, and I'm going to have to save up for it.

Maybe I'll lose weight?

We're both looking for the Goldilocks bag - not too big, not too small, well made and lovely.I REALLY liked the phrase "Pause Pennisula" coined by one of our members earlier in the thread. That describes me the best. I can do short bans for budgeting purposes, but to say I am not buying for a long period is just not possible for me.
OH Cookiefiend!!! You took the words out of my mouth....I came here to whine that the need for a swim is coming upon me! It is getting hot here in SoCal, and I need to cool off in the waters around the island due to a need for a black bag! I DO have a few black bags, BUT....three of them are former work bags and are large and heavy. I love them for what they can haul but not practical for every day now that I am retired. The other two are small crossbody bags. A Coach Court and a Coach Station. Both too small for every day for me.
I don't carry the washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher any more, but I do carry the kitchen sink still. I am working on that. Until I get to that point, those smaller bags won't work for daily wear either.
So, I find myself again scouring webpages for black bags.....Oooohhhh, Chanel! Beautiful black if ever there was (probably too small for my needs)! Hermes Evelyne in PM size! Such luxurious leather! Gucci...oooohhh, I just got a Marmont card case...darn it if that isn't a nice thing..can't imagine the bags.......LV Speedy in Empreinte or Epi, I love both of those leathers....The choices overwhelm me..
And just a few days ago I posted that I am pretty happy with my collection as it stands. Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with me? Will I ever be happy with what is in my closet? I am guessing not.![]()
