I never actually go onto Ban Island as a resident. I’m always a visitor dropping in to say hi to my Ban peeps. I live on Pause Peninsula so that I make sure hard pause before I buy anything. It’s worked for 8 months so far. LOL! Feel free to join me. It’s always a party over here. Mai Tais and lemon drop martinis included LOL!

I’ve been on ban island since October. This weekend (specifically tomorrow) marks 6 months on the island. [emoji322][emoji33]

I’m surprised I haven’t bought a bag in 6 months, because I usually give up and buy the bag I want lol.

In fact, I’ve let go of bags and SLGs, and I think the ban has helped me further refine my collection. I still a lot at 29 bags and 32 SLGs though. Not sure if I’m willing to let go of any more in the collection as of now so the numbers may remain stable.

Thx, @Sparkletastic - I think I'll take you up on those tempting offers!! I'd fall off both spaces, as I happened by a thrift store next to wk today and ended up with:

Ladies... I already fell off ban island once this year and bought myself a Gucci Marmont flap bag. Now I'm being tempted by the Saint Laurent Shopping tote AND the Chloe Nile cause they just came out with this gorgeous Intense Violine color. I'm THIS close to getting both... please... talk me out of it. Do I need these???

here's my new Clutch, i needed it and it's a good deal, too, brand new, with a free charm and less than 50% from retails, so i hope this little not-even-cheating-as-such will fill up the gap and will not deport me from Ban Island :)

it's pretty small and does not fall under the category of BAGS in my understanding, but it definitely filled a gap i had, otherwise i'm doing fine, passed on 2 bags i really liked, but i knew i didn't need them, i am happy to be able to separate 'need for a purpose' from 'OMG, it's too cute!' and 'Oh, it's a bargain!' :P
it really helps to assess my collection critically and shop wisely :flowers:

Gosh, I haven't been here in a while. I did swim away for a bit. I found a couple of bags I felt I need due to changes in my body. They aren't lux. Big plus, they are working out very well for me! I did purchase two lux SLGs. One is still on lay-away at Fashionphile. I now feel that my collection is complete (for the moment).

OH! Snap! I bought another bag I completely put out of my brain! Also not lux. It is OK, but hasn't worked out as well as the other two.

Why do you like it?
Is it just the color? Or will that bag, in that style, in that color be useful to you in your wardrobe and collection?

Are these bags better than the ones in your closet?

Are they needs or wants? Do you have room in your closet for them? Do you have room in your budget for them? Do you want to part with another tote to make room for the YSL? If yes, does that give you permission, or are you on a hard ban? Same questions with the Nile.

Hi Sparkle, I know that Seche Vite is a HG top coat but it isn’t sold in any stores here, so I need to order it from abroad which is such a drag. But i’ll look out for a deal. Great to know Pause Peninsula is still rockin’ the lemon drop martinis! :idea:

Wow.. thank you! Thinking through all these questions, I definitely don’t need these bags. They’re more wants than needs for sure. I already have a LV NF and a Longchamp Le Pliage, and definitely don’t need the YSL tote. I think I’ll forego that one for sure now. The only thing with the Chloe bag is that I like the color. It’s limited edition. There’s definitely some fear of missing out with this one. I’ll have to contemplate this one a bit more. thank you!
