Shopping is usually part of my itinerary when I travel just because a lot of things are more expensive here than elsewhere. So grab the chance to get better prices! I am happy with a good balance of shopping and touring.

There’s also exclusive items and sometimes better prices! I never skimp on the exploring, but I do make time to shop as well. [emoji4]

Ladies, said bag that set me back 1k.

Givenchy Antigona Mini Brogue from SS16.

In an age where everyone and their mother carries a Speedy and my town being flooded with fake Chanel, I went for a brand that’s more modest and understated. Almost no one here carries Givenchy.

1k is my personal “ouch” territory. It physically hurts. But when you’re lusting after a bag for more than 4 years, you’re pretty elated when you FINALLY pull the trigger.

My bag “collection” consists of authentic Prada eBay bargains, so this is my first BIG purchase.

5 year ban for me. Yay.

Hi all!! Tomorrow I head home from my sister's house. That means I will have made my goal for my ban if I make it through the airports without shopping for a bag! I did do some clothing and fabric shopping while here. It is a good thing I am not here for longer. I cannot fit even an extra hairpin in my suitcase....see?

The smaller one on the floor is also stuffed full. Next time I am only bringing under garments. I always shop, and sister and I sew. Why bring clothes? :confused1:

okay I think I need to leave the ban island as I foung a montaigne bb in freesia and if I like it in reality and it fits to me I need to buy it .. I just can´t risk to not get a bag in this new lovely colour.. I already missed the rose b. colour for the speedy b25 .. I need a pink bag and I love this colour.. I will see then on friday.. after this I would be back on ban island hopefully for a very very long time hahaha.. but at least I was her for 3 months :-)

After buying three bags this year, my goal is to make it until July without buying another. We’re going on vacation, and I may buy a local bag in Greece if I fall in love. Until then, i need to be strong. Please kick my ass if you see me making any buying noises; I placed an order today, but now I’m placing myself on ban.

I met my ban goal! I dog paddled away from the Island after I arrived home. While shopping with my niece I saw a convertible backpack/purse that I fell in love with, but remained on my ban that day. I found it over on the Nordie's rack site for WAY less than at Macy's, so I grabbed it. It isn't a luxury brand. I won't show photos when it arrives, promise.

I have some issues in my spine, and I found on my trip that even crossbody is setting off my neck these days. So I decided to try a smaller backpack. Of course, when I got home and cleaned out my purse I found about five pounds of weight in change inside! But lately even my smaller crossbody type bags have bothered me. So, I'll give this a try and ponder if I want a luxury backpack.

Crossbodies also don't work for me, maybe it's my left shoulder where I sling it over. I know I can do it the other way, but it's just not me. I have yet to try backpacks, but anyway I use crossbody when touring and I don't think I will be comfortable security wise with a backpack. And yes, change could weigh a ton!

Coins are heavy!!

I have to empty out often otherwise my wallet will weigh a ton. It’s why I don’t like to pay cash a lot, so many coins once you get change back.

I always like the idea of a backpack, but I doubt I’ll ever wear it. Even at the park I wear a tote.

I found some very inspirational posts in this thread.. And have decided to join the ban island :)
I always loved bags but strarted buying premier bags only three years ago.
After the vicious buying and selling circle (it felt like it will never end and I really dislike selling bags) I am now finally happy with what I have :)
Of course there will always be something new to catch my attention but I decided I have enough and that I will keep my collection as it is. No more buying or selling!
I unsubscribed from many news letters already and just focus on others things.
And feel already relieved :)
My last bag purchase was more then a month ago and I promised myself I will not look for a new bag before a very long time.. Maybe the end of the year!?!
Good luck to everyone including myself to stay strong and stop buying bags :)
