I, too, have broken my ban...[emoji53]. The only thing i can say is that it’s literally the perfect bag for me. It will help me send some unused bags onto new homes. I do feel guilty though because I, too, have a bag ordered from last year on the way and unused bags waiting for my attention. Back to my ban. I do believe I can stay strong now. Also, I have been returning jackets purchased last month but not worn. Along with bags, I have a thing for coats. Shoes I am ok with because I pretty much only like two brands. And clothes I’m okay with because I pretty much like only three brands. It does feel good to send the coats back.

Can I get an AMEN? I, too, "have a thing for coats!" They are stashed all over our house. In our coat closet (back entry), in our front coat closet (supposedly for company), and what I'm currently wearing in my locker.

Inquiring minds want to know, what is the perfect bag??? And do you have a pic? :graucho:

OK, I've gone 15 days since my last bag purchase (or any purchase, but my ban is bags). It seems much longer for some reason.

Today I have the itch. I am viewing backpacks for my upcoming trip in 2 1/2 weeks. No, I don't need it, I do have something else that would work. However, a backpack would be convenient for going through the airports, but my tote works, too. My last purchase was a bag (not tote) for this trip.

I find it so easy to rationalize purchases when I have trips coming up. I was considering this one when I picked out my last purchase. Argh!

Is a backpack a bag???? :P

If the intention is to use it as a purse, yes.

If it’s strictly for travel, no.

That’s how I define it.

I’m tempted by a backpack for my dog’s stuff. But I made do with a reusable tote.

It would be for travel. I am looking at the MCM Dual Stark in size Medium. It is a fairly large size. Too large for a daily bag for me. Even though I do like large bags, I find I am downsizing more and more these days for my daily needs.

Amazing how much we need for our dogs, isn't it? My Gracie gets her own little tote when we take her out to lunch with us. We bring her bowl, some water, and treats. When she sees the bag come out, she knows fun times are coming.

That would be a good travel backpack if it won’t be too heavy filled up!

Bella has discovered her little tote.

So I shouldn’t use my dog to justify more bags haha.

Oh, she is too cute!

Yes, I could pack it heavy, that's for sure. I do have a small rolling tote that I use when I bring a sewing machine. I could take that, but then I'll have two rolling suitcases and a rolling tote. The rolling tote doesn't have a strap for a suitcase handle on it. My hand carry tote does, but it is made in an odd way. It tends to roll off the handle. That could explain why it was in an outlet store I suppose! :D

Oh the agony of decisions. I should just go into my sewing room and pet my fabric. Which is what I call it when I don't know what I want to work on, so I just sit there and watch Netflix and look at my stash.

Here is my Gracie at her favorite restaurant. She is on the left wearing a tiara to celebrate the 5th anniversary of her "Gotcha Day"! The other girlie looking on is her former foster sister. I became good friends with the person who fostered her with the rescue group from which we adopted her. I had to stitch the tiara onto a hat to get it to stay on her head.

Last year I said I’d get a crossbody strictly for travel. I did. But during the trip I discovered that I preferred my Longchamp Neo, which also works as a crossbody bag for me. I have since gifted the other crossbody. In my own experience, getting a bag “strictly for traveling“ was an excuse for me to get a bag. Just saying and sharing. [emoji3]

For me, any excuse is a good excuse. That is how I got my Speedy B35 last year. So far I am fighting the urge for the backpack. I am going to put in an effort to pack my carry-on items light this trip. I ALWAYS overpack thinking I will need lots of toys to occupy myself, when really my iPad does just fine. But I am going to be gone for a month, so I will have quite a bit of general "stuff" to bring along.
