I walked into a Bally store for the first time ever just recently. I liked what I saw. Apprentice they have a new design ethos now, have revamped their crest etc etc. love the shoes on their website!

Sorry silly spellcheck. I must learn to proof read on this phone. My earlier post should read: 'Apparently' not 'apprentice'! The company design is influenced by modernism it seems.

It surprises me that such well made and expensive bags don't command more in the used market. There are still real values when buying used Bally handbags that are in mint condition. The brand is well known in Europe and in some circles, but not as well recognized in the US. So those of you that recognize the value should be able to score some great used pieces!

I got my Bally bags out for a photo shoot today. Most are older, but each is very classy. The brown bag was my first purchase, probably in 1982-1985.

Trawling back through this thread, the elliptical quilted bags are amazing!!

Their shoes are amazing. Very good quality and last for years. My dad only wear their shoes. So, I'm quite familiar with their men's show line. Not much for the bag though. It's the same level as Salvatore Ferragamo.

Bally leather is fantastic - my husband has been using the same messenger bag everyday for the past 10 years. Only a few scratches here and there. The only repair it needed was to replace the broken zipper. It's well worth the price!

I never buy Bally bag but last week I saw a nice Vintage Bally. Bought her straightaway without getting the bag authenticated. Hopefully she's genuine!! I can't find any thread on Bally Authentication here and I don't think paid authenticator knows much about Bally either. Simply because this brand (for women's bag) is not highly sought after. I will post pic here when I receive the bag!

Here they are! Black one was $15 and brown one was $25. I was pleasantly surprised at how chic they look on with the right outfit. They do have some nice stuff on their site! I would love to see your evening bag if you get a chance!
The brown and black combo was popular in the early 1990s. Here is a picture of mine I think from 93. I bought the matching shoes. This bag was almost $400 at the time :smile1:. I have a few other pieces packed away. It's funny what is stylish again.

What a lovely bag! I have just bought a lovely monogrammed Bally on Ebay and I am feeling very torn - I have 21 Gucci's, so this is a bit of a departure! If anyone can point me to some reference sites or other material for Bally I would be most grateful, there is much less info than on Gucci available...
