Hey everyone. I really need some help trying to authenticate this Bally handbag I saw in a vintage store. The quality is great but I’m suspicious of the ‘made in Switzerland’ tag.

I’ve bought a few items from them over the years. I’ve always been happy with the quality.
Here is my newest Bally. Unfortunately it’s going back. It’s slightly too snug to fit my essentials. And since it’s design is angled it takes away from the space which I didn’t calculate while measuring. It’s lovely and if it was a bit larger it would’ve stayed.
I love the style of this bag, and actually considered the larger(still not really LARGE) in the cream, or I think they call it grey color. Unfortunately I seem to sell my bags too regularly, and resale would probably not be good, as this style may already be outdated. Had you considered the other size, in the solid color?
I’m with you. I did consider the larger style that was on sale with this one. But the only color available was too similar in color to something I have and I wanted to diversify.
Today is the debut of my new-to-me Bally handbag. I love the quality of the construction, the razor quilting, and the understated branding. I don't know the name of the style or the approximate year it might've been made, so if anybody could tell me anything about it, I would love to know. This bag was a gift to me from a very generous TPFer, and I feel so grateful that she would pass her bag along to a stranger so I could enjoy my first Bally.

First time handling a Bally bag and must say I’m impressed with the leather and craftsmanship. So happy to add this discontinued Bally Sommet to my purse collection. Snagged it off The Luxury Closet. I think it’s a baby of Birkin & Celine Tie Knot Tote without the fussiness of hardware/overworked knots. Belted it has a Birkin silihouette and winged out gives me Celine Tie knot tote. I’m so surprised that there was no hype around this bag. It’s definitely low key. Totally in love! Thanks for letting me share
