I was searching on IG n social media.. I don’t see many people wearing moon phase version.. most people wear classic version stack with love bracelets... that is why I am thinking is moon phase the right choice? Or stick with classic version
Are you saying you want the moon phase because you want something less common? To be wearing a different version than most people have?
If being more unique is important to you than yes, you do see the classic version around much more often. I didn't even know the moon phase one existed till your thread and I've been coveting a ballon bleu for years.

Although the moon phase is more pricy than classic the only value it’s adding is that moon phase feature... and that moon phase just tracks the moon movement... that is it!
so by buying the moon phase is just have a watch that is not so common on the social media postings [emoji849][emoji28]
I don't own either, and hadn't seen the moon phase version until seeing your post just now. Between the two, I'm drawn more to the one with the moon phase. I really love this version! I think it adds a beautiful design element to the dial, plus it's just fun to see the phase of the moon! Sending best wishes with your decision, a fun dilemma.
They are both unique! Although, the moon phase does not have a third hand especially for automatic movement which I love to see ticking away and no date. The classic has those. But on the other hand the moon phase would be a special watch in telling you when it is day or nite. Good luck in your choice!

Me too! I thought the moon phase is beautifully done as didn’t destroy the unique quintessential feature of classic version [emoji173]️
I own the two-tone classic ballon bleu. Purchased it quite a few years ago now and it still looks gorgeous and pulls many compliments when I wear it. My vote goes for the classic. Good luck deciding!
I saw the moon phase watch in the store today and it is very handsome. It’s a good size and beautifully executed.
I totally agree! Moon phase is beautifully done by Cartier but I have to ask myself...is it worth it to spent the extra $$ on a movement that really just tracks the moon... and do I really need to track the moon movement?!?!?[emoji848]

I love the moon phase...it’s unique, different, special...wonder if it rotates to the sun ☀️ during daylight....
