The size is perfect, the watch is perfect, and it will always be a classic. I personally find the j12 a little dated but I still love them on other people. I mean, Kate Middleton wears this watch. This is my favorite from Cartier. I think you made a perfect decision. As for layering I would stick with a simple tennis bracelet.

Go with BB. The links don't bother me because the steel on the bottom makes it hardier against banging the bracelet against the table when you type or when you write.


Cartier has the best customer service. If something goes wrong they will fix it. I think the no buying replacement links is to deter those who will resell it and make counterfeit watches or make their steel watched have the gold links. If your gold links get damaged, they will repair/replace it for you.

This is my first luxury watch

I’m debating between the moon phase vs classic version in size 36MM

I'm kind of obsessed with moon things in general so that one would be really tempting, but the classic version still feels more appealing. It has a very clean, elegant look. The moon phase clutters it up a bit.
