Balenciaga at DSW

I went to the DSW in SF (Powell) today. That had a black bowling for $799. I didn't see any other bbags. They did have a GORGEOUS YSL muse in caramel brown for $999. It was TDF.

I just got back from DSW. The weekender is gone, but the bowling is still there. I managed to get a picture of it, although the picture isn't very good. I was trying to be really discrete about it, but a couple of people saw me and looked at me like I was completely nuts, lol. I brought my first with me to compare the hardware and the bag looks authentic too me, although I'm no expert.

is that a gucci i see behind it?

the black bowling was pretty dry though lots of veins. I saw the muse a few days ago, but there was some weird discolored mark on the front right.
gorgeous bag though. did you see the bottega venetta turquiose hobo with the gold studded holes? gorg color! they also had a chloe paddington sitting high up on the wall near the register.

That BV sounds lovely. I've only managed to find ONE DSW that has the high end bags (the Dixie Hwy location in Miami). I wonder how they decide which ones will have them? I was surprised that the DSW in Austin, TX did NOT have them. At the Miami Dixie Hwy location, they had a staff member specifically assigned to guard the bags. They had TONS of Chloes and YSL as well.

you're right; it was super dry, which almost made it look like the ink color.

i didn't see the BV hobo. i wonder if they'll be getting more bbags in...

Yes, Men's Weekenders have the silver hardware ... still. Men's Weekenders have silver hardware and longer handles than the Women's Weekender. The Men's Besace I mentioned I saw at the Miami DSW also had silver hardware, so I think that the Men's bags have silver hardware across the board.

The leather on that Men's Weekender posted above looks uncharacteristically smooth ... but maybe it's just an especially smooth specimen, or the photo doesn't completely capture the leather's texture.

I think it was just the photo. I saw the bag in person and it didn't look as smooth as it does in the photo--there were definitely veins there!

Stopped by DSW-SF today as well. Saw the Black Bowling and the leather seems a bit thin/brittle looking to me. I'm sure conditioning will do it some good... Saw some YSL, muse and gorgy green velvet Mombasa, Bottegas, etc.

Though the one bag that completely stopped me in my tracks was the old-school Valextra travel bag that was just sitting there. If only I had a money tree.

I live in the Houston area and just went to the DSW in the Clear Lake area JUST IN CASE. Very dissapointing...NO Balenciaga. Is there anyone that lives in the Houston area that has checked some of the other DSW in the area?

I saw that blueberry bowling a while ago too at Union SQ DSW.....Not very attractive in my opinion....
