Bags you don't get

I bought a part time new in 2009 or 10 carried it normally for about a month. The wear and fading in the leather was the worst I've seen on any bag I've owned. Never bought another Bal bag. The Moto jackets on the other hand I still love.
I had the same experience, I loved the leather and the style but after a few weeks I could see the leather wearing badly. Sold my bag before it could get any worse which was a shame.

I’ll probably get bagged to death for this, but here I go:
I don’t get why some people choose (consciously?) to wear bags that wear them. All you see is the bag. I especially see this with expensive bags like Chanel Jumbo Flaps and Hermes Birkins. If the bag enters the room before you do, it’s too big. Just saying.
- Or vice versa. A bag that’s too small can be unflattering or look like you stole it from a child (Nano bags. If you can’t at least fit a large phone like an iPhone Plus, it’s too small).
IMO, bags sizes should fit our needs, be occasion appropriate and fit our taste, but also be proportionate to us. Just like clothes that have lengths and styles that are more flattering than others; bags have a minimum and maximum size before it becomes unflattering. I thing even strap length matters. If you’re short, a strap that is too long and a bag that hangs too low will draw your eyes down; one that ends at hip or shorter will drive your eyes up
I’ve seen at least 2 people in the mall carrying the bumbag. I don’t get it then, I still don’t get it now. I especially don’t get why it’s being carried this way. It feels so uncomfortable.. ‍♀️View attachment 4010403View attachment 4010405
It made me think of a seatbelt with storage.
And the red one a Gucci seatbelt :giggle:

Also I agree with the bucket bag sentiment. I find them very unattractive with the scrunchy top. (And yes, I know the history of the Noe as a champagne carrier of sorts lol!)

Agree! When I was in middle and high school it was all about the big splashy logos.. Abercrombie, AE, Hollister, Aero, colorful Coach, knockoff Mono Multicolore bags, knockoff CC totes... now apparently kids like more understated stuff lol. (Except maybe they wear VS "Love Pink" stuff, which I find very comfy!)
I find it pretty fascinating how fashion changes so much in 10 or 15 years
‘I find them very unattractive with the scrunchy top’
OMG, I don’t want to tell you what that description made me think of. I’ll never be able to look at bucket bags again!
Luckily, I don’t like them so at least they’re not ruined for me lol
