My cat was a black kitty and I miss him! They're the best!

And the fairy bag must still have a following. It's going preloved for almost the original retail price.
Black cats are underrated for sure. I'd adopt another one, but my boyfriend only wants one (for now, lol).

As for the Prada bag, I've noticed that, too. That's really one of the very few LE bags I know that has kept its value. Pretty impressive for Prada, if you ask me. I can't think of a discontinued LV bag that has done the same!

Random question, but anyone change their minds about any bags while going through this thread? I mentioned the Lady Dior bag in my initial response as a bag I don't get, and then I snooped through the Dior forum out of curiosity and voila... plenty of people pull it off! I think I was secretly fascinated by it or something. And of course it's out of my price range, probably karma for poking fun at it lol.

I haven't changed my mind b/c of this thread but I've hated on so many bags and then ended loving and buying them, ha! Like the Neverfull, I get why so many ppl throw shade at it. It's ordinary, ubiquitous and so basic......it's like the starter Lux kit of purses.....but you know what.....that purse is just so easy to use, light, and takes a beating, lol!

I have to say that the whole fairy line was pretty amazing. I still remember wanting the bag but getting the shoes instead. I never wear mine anymore because of the heel height but I won't sell it since it's a collector's item in my opinion. Yeah I agree that they should have put cats on them. Maybe they just didn't want to copy Chanel with their cat collection.

Oh, that emoji cat line! I am not a fan of Chanel totes, but I'd make an exception for the shoppers tote with that print.

Definitely never sell those shoes; you're lucky to have them. I never see Prada fairies and usually when they are listed on secondhand sites, they're super overpriced.

Same here - seeing something in real life (or on tpf) has changed my opinion of a style more often than I can say
I never understood some of the Anya Hindmarch bags in general. I know they are supposed to be whimiscal/funky, but for that price point? I'll pass...
I hate this too - nice bags ruined by the add ons IMO

2 main categories of bags for me:

1. Bags with a giant piece of hardware as the clasp, like the LV Pochette Metis, the Furla Metropolis, even the Chloe Drew. I don’t get why that big piece of metal would be considered attractive, especially when it’s covered in scratches, and it’s just, chunky? On that note, I can see how the Pochette Metis could be a very functional and durable bag, but I just can’t understand why it’s constantly so sought after and why some people think it’s so beautiful?

2. Feminine backpacks. I’m thinking of the Palm Springs Mini, which, IMO which looks just.. odd as a crossbody and holds practically nothing. Also the Chanel Gabrielle backpack. I am a huge fan of chevron, but I simply can’t stop thinking about how those chain straps would dig into one’s shoulder every time I see the bag.

Haha I wasn't a fan of neverfull, after all the years of buying lv I purposely steered away from it, until lv finally came up with the personalized stickers and black leather straps! (learnt early on that vachetta is my nemesis). I will never let it go because it's now a very personal bag, and not to mention one of a kind! I've been getting so many compliments about the bag, including the portable pouch, with the stickers it's like an unique piece of art!

Now that you mentioned it, I also don't get the fuss with pochette metis and palm spring mini, and I'm quite devoted to lv.

I think the width of the chains on Chanel Gabrielle feels disportionate to the size of the bag.

There are many, many (many!!!) bags that I don't like, or that wouldn't work for me, but nevertheless, I still "get" them - like, I see how they would appeal to other people with a different lifestyle or aesthetic.

But. The Lady Dior. :whut:

Girl, I just DON'T GET YOU. I am so confused, because I adore Princess Diana - so lovely, graceful, and classic - and yet this bag named for her looks like a plastic box??? I have so many questions. I don't understand these think puffy handles. I don't understand the large-print quilting that doesn't even look symmetrical to my eye. It's so square. So small. So hard to get into. Too fancy for daily use but not sophisticated enough for night. Where do you fit in, Lady Dior??? Seems like it *could* have a place as a dainty handheld confection, but then why do I see bloggers wearing it crossbody with a strap? It doesn't lay nicely against the body. It's just awkward. And can we talk about the price??? Four or five grand for this strange little box? This is the one bag whose popularity truly has me flummoxed.

Omg this is my pet peeve too! I want a zipper for security and want to find a tote that doesn't just have a small clasp or magnetic closure in the middle. People say they are go arounds like putting all your stuff in the dust bag then putting it in your tote. Or stuffing a towel on top. It is SO HARD to find a luxury tote with a zip.
This is like my #1 dream, to have a luxury tote bag with a zipper that is functional for work. I cannot find anything suitable across all the brands and I'm always looking. I've carried a $40 tote from a department store for 2 years straight now... although considering the daily abuse, that $40 tote has held up far better than much of my luxury stuff. I do not get at all a luxury tote with no zipper closure and not one single pocket inside or out. Now, I have to go buy a purse/bag organizer for this $1500 tote with no zip or pocket?? No. For those prices it better have zippers and pockets and some degree of organization.
