Bag Limits at Different Boutiques

I´m not joking! But it wasn´t "Collier de Chien belts".
I bought a "belt-kit -> leather & buckle". One in 32 and the other one in 24. And I ordered an other 32 with a different leather and a different buckle.
That I also bought an other 32 in my store she couldn´t see.
Yes, for leather bags, I think it's one bag per passport per store visit. (Both France and Italy.) I couldn't believe they were counting Evelyne and GP too.....

O M G, i should cancel my paris trip next year if i can only buy 1 bag. geez.. can anyone confirm this.
one more question, the back then policy 1 K en B per year, is it 2 per 2012, 2 per 2013 or 1 year after our date of purchase. i really wonder. thanks a loot.

It was absolutely true both in France and in Italy, but this was August when very few bags were available period, so maybe it will be true or maybe not. Then again, the rules change everyday, so whatever is true now may or may not be true or false by the time you visit next year...
As per some TPFers told me, France set the quota as any design is one bag per customer per year??? Doesnt make sense to me but I got to swallowed it because this TPF thought I wanted his favour to get me some bags. Then the one K and one B per year, I was told it is either one Kelly OR one Birkin per year and not one each.

Just out of curiosity, the bag limits only apply in France and Italy? Not the rest of Europe?? I thought there's no way other hermes stores can see your purchases? So how are they tracking how many bags you have bought??

I'm a bit confused--I know in the US (at least at my local boutique), it was either 1 B or 1 K in a 6-mth period, i.e. limit of 2 for the year. This rule was in effect as of Spring/Summer, but maybe the rule changed again.
Not sure if it's per calendar year, or from date of purchase. My guess is it's date of purchase, since if you bought in Dec, I don't think one is allowed to buy again in January.
Also, if it's 1 bag per passport, per store visit in Europe, can you come back another day to purchase bag #2?

I was not aware that Hermes has franchise stores. Is there a reference document somewhere that shows which are franchise boutiques?
I have bought lots of Hermes at Neiman-Marcus over the years, but now very few NMs carry Hermes.
