Bag defect (Azur color) or it’s how supposed to be?

From what I think I can see, the Girolata on the LV website doesn’t have such stitching and the handles are not as deep. Are you sure this is an authentic bag?

Edit: Here is a bag similar to your friends. While I don’t know whether it’s authentic either, it maybe that they were made differently last year.
The two pieces of canvas was on one that I recently returned. Think it's just a defect.

She will mail the bag out to LV boutique in Canada. It’s a defect I believe. She bought the bag from LV boutique in France. She has a receipt.
Is the bag on its way back to LV yet?
Just to reiterate, I don't think it is colour transfer from clothing. My point was it was too uniform and all round for that to have happened. I think there is an issue with the lining staining the canvas.

She said she would mail it today. Hope it arrives at the LV store early next week. Yes I think so too, it’s about pink lining. Will keep everyone posted what they get back to her :-).

WOW! That is definitely one of the weirdest things as far as transfer (?) I have ever seen happen to an LV. I am also curious as to what LV will have to say about it. Keep us posted please.

Thank you everyone for the input, she just called LV and SA suggested her to send the bag to one of the store here (in Canada) to check. I will update once she hears back from them.

This same issue has been raised in the LV Facebook group. A number of people have experienced the same thing. It is a defect and your friend should receive a replacement or a credit.

Good idea to keep the bag in Canada. If your friend had taken it to the US she would have had to plan carefully to make sure she wasn't charged customs when the bag came back.

Thanks, I also suggested her to get a different bag to avoid the same issue in the future.
