Bag defect (Azur color) or it’s how supposed to be?

FYI I just bought mine last February, walked in to the LV store in Portland Or and was told that my bag was defective and would eventually turn pink. Got to pick out a brand new bag!!

How did you go about getting a new one? I just purchased one off of fashionphile. I am still within the 30 days of return and I have not used yet. I am beginning to think mine might have the pink interior bleeding through the canvas as well. I have heard of people getting replacement or credit even without a reciept from LV because it is a defect. My bag is from 2019 made in France. So it is still only a year old.

My Girolata looks EXACTLY like this. It was purchased in London. I didn't notice it until about 18 months ago and I figured it was color transfer! Since I only use the Girolata in the spring and summer, I think it sat in my closet from summer 2019 until early 2020. Since this post is so old, does anyone have any advice?

I'm going to contact Louis Vuitton about it this coming week. And, I'll read the rest of the posts in this thread.

I have to same problem with mine. Bought it last year in Paris. The repair department at my local store took about 4 days to get back to me. They are giving me a credit. View attachment 4080221 View attachment 4080222

Do you live close to an LV boutique? It would be best o take the bag into the boutique if you do.

I live about 3 hours from the nearest LV boutique, so I decided to contact LV's customer service a few days ago. They had me fill out a "repair ticket" for the Girolata and submit photos. The pink bleed looks even worse now (the photo above was taken earlier this year). This morning I received an email from them asking for "proof of purchase" which the photos are being evaluated. All I have is a gift receipt from Harrods of London from 2018 and the tag.

Has anyone successfully managed to reverse the pinking? Maybe sunlight bleaching or some other method?
I haven't seen anyone post that they have. I don't see how you could reverse it since it's basically saturated with the pink stain from the lining. I'd even wonder if the heat/sunlight would make it worse?

My mom had this exact bag and it did the same thing!! It only appeared on the backside of her bag and it looked like the pink lining came through. I thought I read it was a known issue on the girolata in Azur. I would tell her to contact LV 😊

Has anyone managed to get a replacement/repair/refund without a receipt? I purchased this bag ages ago, second hand but still expensive, but didn’t think to ask about receipt. Bag is still in almost new condition except the pinking.
