WOW! I just had the same thing happen to me! I have sent in plenty of items in the past (always 100% authentic-I don't do fakes) and some had tags/receipts, others no tags/receipts and had no problems at all. I sent in 3 Coach items just recently after they sent me quotes. One wristlet was purchased and the 2 Coach bags were declined. From their e-mailed response:

The merchandising team couldn't authenticate due to a lack of purchase receipt. I see that your submission of XXX was declined by our merchandising team because they were having a difficult time authenticating the bag due to the lack of provision of the original receipt of purchase. This item is being returned to you.

Really??? The fact that they were 100% AUTHENTIC wasn't enough to convince them? Why would they need a receipt when the items speak for themselves?!?!? Anyway, I received one of the bags back but am still waiting on the other. However, I am absolutely appalled that 100% authentic bags couldn't be verified. Isn't that what these people do for a living? How do they even know when they lend something out, they are getting back the same item? Needless to say, I will no longer be doing any kind of business with these folks. Thank you for letting me rant..I fell better now :D

Yes I don't agree with their new methods of requiring a receipt. Why waste everyone's time then?? Real consignments places don't need a receipt because they know how to authenticate.

Geez, that's upsetting. You know there's probably a bunch of other brands are fake too. If they want there reputation they better get people in there that know their brands.
Also, I wonder what they mean by "Lining: Multi"
I am not sure they know there brands and I am thinking
Lining" multi means Legacy lining which they should know.

That makes no sense, if they need a receipt to verifed the bag is authentic thats not good business, there team should be able to tell a authentic bag even with no receipt, not everyone keep there receipt.
So are they going to decline bags send to them if you don't have the receipt?

They declined bags because they aren't sure if they are authentic but their team should be able to tell if the item is authentic or not. Who is it that are Authenticate the bags?

Erin, if you only offer store credit for returned bags, then perhaps you need to
add more pictures to bags description. there is one bag that i'm very interested in, but with only 1 picture there is no way for me to know about bag's condition.
I too am interested in buying a bag but with just one pic and no description of condition I am not sure, but on there website it does say that all bag will arrive authentic and in new or like new condition, so I assuming they clean or repair bags before they send them out.

There is a bag I so want to buy from them but with them not offering a refund just store credit and not providing any info on the condition of the bag I am not sure I want to.

I reported the fake chloe to them and they responded to me that they have an authentication process blah blah. Anyway, that was awhile ago and they are only removing it now that I posted to this forum. I wonder what they do when they find out a fake got past their "authentication process". That chloe was a pretty bad fake if i've ever seen one.
Crazybagmo,
After you reported the fake chloe to BBOS, did you get a 100% cash or credit refund?
