Hi, I'm also wondering how long does it take for me to get a response on the authentication? I paid through paypal last Saturday and sent email to the instructed email address on the official website, it says they will try to response within 24 to 48 hours after the payment but so far I haven't got anything...

I have just sent you a PM. ALL Service requests have been responded to and therefore I can only advise that you email and check with the office.

The timescale quoted is an estimate and given that we were not available from Friday until Monday on this particular weekend, due to attending an event - there would be a delay. Please contact the office for information.

.........and when I post the person just disappears - :))

Thank you so much for the fast response! I have got the email :)

Not many recommend Carol any more because of all the mistakes she has made in the past few years.

She tries to be a "one man band" and authenticate across all brands, and it's just not possible for ONE person to know ALL brands thoroughly.

She's made several mistakes with LV, and also Chanel and Dior if I'm not mistaken, plus a 9K Hermes.

I've read (but not confirmed) that she is no longer accepted by eBay or PP in the event of a dispute. It's been talked about on eBay.

I recommend A4U because each brand has specialists within that brand, not just one person who tries to do it all.

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you yes that does make sense,:smile1: however I am getting frustrated with A4U. it has been a week and they have not yet given me the authentication. I have sent numerous emails and they are really not responding as well as I had hoped. First they told me there is a time zone difference ,which I understand, then they told me they got my email late in the day and had a fashion launch to attend. Ok that's fine. On Monday they told me they would put a rush on it and still I have heard nothing. I am going to send them another email tomorrow. I have heard good things about them but its just a bit frustrating to me because maybe I had false expectations of the turn around time between request and authentication. I really thought it would be sooner then a full week, I was thinking more like 48 hours. Again maybe that's my fault!:smile1:

Oh no...I paid carol the other day for an lv bag I bought from Fashionphile. I tried to get it authenticated on here but didn't get a response. She said it looked good. I guess I wasted my money. I will try the other site you recommended. I just need to know since I paid so much money and if it turns out to be fake I want to send it back for a refund.

Just an update.....I have been in contact with A4U today and I am very happy with the response that I have received from Lesley. I believe I just sent my request in at a bad time being at the end of the week combined with the time difference ect. I would recommend them and I do plan on using their service again. :smile1:

You did get a response. Lee said it looks good.

You weren't posting the proper pics, and we authenticators are not at the computer 24/7.

We are mothers/fathers, full or part time students, full or part time employees - in other words, most of us have full lives outside tPF.

You need patience.

Sorry I wasn't trying to upset anyone. I was just stating that I didn't get a response so I sent it to carol. Then after reading this post I went back to the authentication forum and bumped my request from a few days ago. It was the same post and pics I posted from several days ago and it had the exact pics on it. I did have patience and waited several days before sending it to carol for an authentication. I wasn't being pushy or rude on that forum and I let it just go without reposting. I wouldn't have even gone back on today to bump it for an authentication if I hadn't read this. I am so very thankful to lee for looking at and thanked her also. Sometimes posts get over looked and understandably since this is completely free and it is due to the goodness out of the authenticators hearts. Again sorry it upset anyone.

I was wondering if authenticate4u is still providing service? I sent in my request with payment a week ago but havent heard from them. Anybody has used their service lately?

Yes, they do provide their service :smile1: I sent them an email and had reply in few hours.
Did you check your spam folder? After sending your email you should have auto-response straight away.

I sent them a request and I got a confirmation email within a few hours. There was a really fast turnaround ( less than 48 hours) that they sent me the info and I submitted their PDF to Paypal. This was just last week - extremely pleased with their service and would definitely use/ recommend them again!
