Do you know how long it takes? I paid for the service a couple of days ago as I want to list a Gucci bag on ebay prior to the new year but am not sure how long it takes. I know it's the holidays but I'm wondering if others have used this service and how long it usually takes them to get a response.

I had an authentication done a few months ago and it was back to me in less than 24 hours (although it wasn't around the festive season when, understandably, authenticators will be spending time with their family/friends).
 
I've used them and got an immediate automated acknowledgement when I asked a question, personal emails answering questions (after they read my email), and once I sent the payment through PP, I received my authentication within 24 hours.

Hmmm. Ok - thank you for your response. I'm guessing that they are off for the holidays. I sent payment and pics on Saturday with no prior email (maybe that was my mistake?). I'll wait until Friday and if I don't hear anything, I will send a follow up email. Thanks!

Did you already send the payment? You probably won't get a response if you haven't paid yet. (I'm not being snarky; but some people don't realize that the paypal payment has to be sent prior to the images being forwarded directly to their email address.)
 
Oh yes. I sent the payment first and then forwarded my paypal receipt along with the images so that they would know I paid. I probably should have sent an inquiring email before just sending the payment.....

Okay. I think that's fine.

Keep in mind that they're located in Scotland so they're time zones are different. The delay could just be holiday hustle-and-bustle related.

Hi all, It has come to my attention (I've called and talk to her) that there's a few of us wondering about AFU website have issue and all emails are not receiving reply's, she explained that there's a MAJOR issue, this below was roughly her explanation. She is busy dealing with this issue and asked me to post to at least give us all some insights as to why there's issue with their service.

She can't access admin panels to the website which means she can't post any notices to let others knows, also she have no access to the emails, she is doing her best dealing with this to resolve the problem, and sincerely apologize for the huge inconvenience.
Due to the holiday it has meant a nightmare scenario and our forwarding mail was disabled by the
Third Party. Therefore no mail had been received. Any service which has been requested and/or paid for will either be provided or refunded.
