Three years of computer server delays mixed with various illnesses are ridiculous. There is always some excuse. Hire an IT person for gods sake. Or find a new excuse.

There have been many years of systems issues. This thread goes back many years detailing all the issues stated. I thought A4U updated their systems years ago? I assume requests received will have to be resubmitted or at least take longer than usual to get back.

I've tried to use authentication services twice and always got pinged that email that they have a high volume of requests.... I have quit and now just use other authenticators.... It's pretty ridiculous.

Do you have a recommendation for non Chanel authentications? I'm just wondering if I should cancel my requests and get a refund. I do not want to wait weeks this time.

Etinceler was wonderful. If anyone needs Chanel authentications, I can't recommend them enough.

For many of us here that have used A4U in the past & had to wait more
than a reasonable amount of time for a response, its time to move on.

Whatever the issues are, they seem to be ever present & not addressed
in a timely manner.

There are just times that the positive outweighs the frustrations of getting
an authentication when time is of essence & a response is needed.

Thanks so much everyone for the Chanel recommendation!

So true, hotshot! Are there recommendations for non Chanel authenticatiors that you are aware of?

So true. I have sent my Chanel request two weeks ago with payment and follow up twice, but no response except auto email. I think I will move on and find another. Just need to figure out how to get my money back though.

If you have access to social media, try Facebook.. Often Authenticate4U
will update if their are any issues going on. If you have paid for the service, you
should get your money back.

Try contacting Etinceler to authenticate your bag. They are fairly responsive.

Etinceler is not accepting email authentication from 15 million series and beyond. Do you have any other recommendation? Thanks

If you have Facebook, I would recommend that you reach out to them there. Apparently, they are quite responsive when clients with delayed authentication bring it to their attention on that platform.

2 months is a very long time to wait for an authentication. eBay only gives you 30 days to dispute those authenticity claim- the most I would wait is 2 weeks and then I would start looking elsewhere.

For the newer model Chanel bags that are super prone to the super fakes, I would suggest sending it in for a physical inspection. Etinceler and Leather Surgeons both provide this service. It is quite pricey (I think it works out to be about $100 total). However, if you're already spending in the upwards of $4000+, I wouldn't let hesitate to spend a $100 more for that peace of mind. Just my two cents.

Just looked at Leatherurgeons.com

They do authenticate Chanel bags for a fee of $55 with an official letter of
authenticity signed by Gerry Gallagher. This site has been mentioned several
times on the forum, so they could be a good option to explore.

Shuyinh, if you have access to Facebook might try reaching out to them there
to ask how to get a refund for the service you paid for.

Leather surgeons is wonderful as hotshot suggested. If you need a bag spa, they provide the certificate of authenticity free included with any service. Their spa services are impeccable. Chanel flagship has endorsed them for their spa services and sends bags to them as well.

Hi Shuyinh,

Have you tried authenticating here on tPF? I believe they won't authenticate 17 million and above series. You could try to post here first. If not, Etinceler and Leather Surgeons both do mail in authentications for 15 million and above series. Due to the amount of super fakes, that is the only way to be sure.

Here's the link. Posts 1 & 2 in the thread gives the required post format and pictures required.

If you paid through PayPal, you can request your refund there.

Hope that helps!

Maybe I've worked with her before we are in a lot of the same purse communities so maybe that may have something to do with it
But that really shouldn't have anything to do with it, should it? Customer A's money is as good as yours is so picking and choosing (if that is in fact happening) is NOT a valid way to run a business, nor is it professional.

Please note, I'm not saying that that's what happened but since you brought it up as a possibility it seems rather troubling.

I already bought the bag from a second hand shop. Although the shop confirm its authentication or I can request a refund, I still want to have a third party to confirm.

So for my case, I don't think I can ask authentication in the link.

As mentioned on the website, Etinceler is not doing mail in authentications for 15 million and above series. I will try to contact Leather Surgeons then. Thanks.

You can post your required shots here with a pic of the bag in front of your tPF login screen. They'll authenticate if you show its in your possession by the bag in front of your log in shot with all the required photos and information.

Etinceler is only doing mail in the bag for authentication of 15 series and above. Just not photo Evaluations.
