Authenticate4U.com experiences?

I emailed them almost two weeks ago and got one automated response saying they were inundated but then nothing after I sent a second email. I know they are highly respected on here and so I wanted to use them periodically if the ladies on here weren't able to for some reason, but ??? Also, there is no way to pay them? They said they could send an invoice after I think some people complained there was no Paypal button on their site. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

Yes, I used them within the last week. I did send my payment through PayPal. They did say they were busy, but I did get my authentication pretty quickly. HTH!

Wow! ok. so did you go into paypal and search for them to pay? and did you pay first before emailing your pics? thanks so much for the quick response! :)

The thing is-I am not shure if I understood how the procedure goes...:shame:
I contacted them without sending money via paypal-I just asked for a reply and thought
they will send me an invoice...
May be I'd better sent the money with the mail...???

The bag I'd like to have authenticated is still a 'neutral'-nobody knows if it is authentic or not and so I just asked for a 'presale' authentication and then-if it is Fake-I'd needa statement for a paypal claim...
You can get free "presale" authentications here in the ATLV section. There's a "site not to be named" that charges $9 for a presale opinion but it's an unnecessary expense for something you get get for free in any one of many forums.

If you want to preauthenticate an item before listing or for peace of mind after a purchase, you can paypal A4U the funds, then once payment is made, you send pictures to their email.

thank you ladies for your replies :smile1: This is my first preloved purchase and I did get it preauthenticated on here before I made the purchase (thanks to the ladies on the LV forum!) and when I received the bag I wanted to have it authenticated by authenticate4u so I could have a peace of mind. I guess I just have to wait patiently for them to get back to me :sad:It would be nice if ladies on here started a fee based authentification service.

Thank you !

The thing is that the bag could not been authenticated by the experts in the Balenciaga Forum and they suggested to let it profesionally authenticate!
So I still do not know if it is a real one!

What I did is to send the payment with paypal and directly sent a message with all the needed information and link to my Fotobucket.
All I got till now is and automatical respond...hope to get an answer...

@BeenBurned: This site you mentioned'not to be namend' -do you have the link ?
I have no problem in paying for the service, but I need an answer if the bag is authentic or not! If it is not I must seen from where I can get a statement for the paypal claim and time is running!

I've been waiting since 2/11 for a response, so its close to a month. I also sent a follow up last week. Will send one more follow up before I call them. I'm in the US so I didn't want to call the UK but I might have to. Hoping this new system will work for them.

I'm sorry but the reason I won't name them nor recommend them is that I don't consider their authentications to be credible. They try to be expert in all brands and don't have authenticators with the experience in all the brands they claim to authenticate.

On several "authenticate this" subforums, there have been bags posted that were "authenticated" by them but the bags were obvious fakes. (I'm aware of fake Coach - multiples, fake Dooneys and fake Chanels that they've deemed authentic. I bet there are other brands but I don't read those subforums so I don't know which ones they were.)

Another thing is that they've posted here on TPF many times with multiple IDs trying to promote themselves, violations of TPF rules and each time, they'd come back with another ID to do the same thing.

Does A4U have multiple authenticators with expertise in different brands? If so, why does the business fall apart every few weeks when Leslie has an issue? I just really don't understand how they have such a loyal fan base here on tPF given their continual set of issues and seemingly poor customer service unless tPF and/or members here are somehow in on it? Also why is Lescoy allowed to come here and promote/reference her business when others cannot?

The problem seems to be that a4y is not working at the moment-though this service is still suggested in many postings here in the tpf!
Where else can we go with our may-be fakes or those who desperately need statements for their claims?????

Are they the only reliable service on earth??????

I sent two items for authentication over a week ago; automated email response on one and no response at all on the other:/ how long did it take the to respond to you, Tulip2? I also sent payment brought paypal.

I submitted payment through Paypal and followed up with photos of a Chanel flap on 16/02 and a Lesley Coyne replied and said they will be in touch once the photos have been assessed. I waited a week, didn't hear back so emailed them again. Got an automated reply, waited another 2 weeks (so 3 weeks since I sent the original request through) and sent another email stating I will be requesting a refund through Paypal if I don't hear from them soon (and got another automated reply). This was 2 days ago, so I guess I'll be filing a dispute in the next day or so.
