The issue is the people who look after the admin might not be the authenticator for the brand you have asked them about. So they might have to forward your email request to the authenticator for that brand who might be in a different time zone. That person has to review it and respond to the admin team who then need to get back to you. The admin team may not know whether the authenticator for that brand is particularly busy with their regular job/family so I would never expect a response within a working day given how they work with brand specialists. They're not a 24/7 service so I don't think you're going to hear today but would hope you would hear Tues/Weds. If not, chase it up.

Hopefully they will get back to me this week with some good news :) TY!

I have used them 4 times now in the past 6 months and have not had any issues. It usually takes a few days as they are in a different time zone than North America, but anytime I have emailed them asking if they had a chance to look at my purse, they have gotten right back to me. The last authentication I had requested went in on a Friday afternoon and I heard back from them the following Tuesday.

I also submitted my bag for authentication last Friday afternoon... hopefully they will get back to me Tuesday which is tomorrow :)

With all due respect, some of you guys really need patience.

I looked at their website, and I can't find anywhere that they promise a TAT (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I could see if they consistently promised 48 hours and failed to deliver.

Also, bear in mind that their brand specialists are all over the world and it is summer, many people are traveling or on holiday.

If the photos submitted are anything like the ones that are submitted in the AT threads here, there's a good chance they are not sufficient for authentication. I help in the ATLV and 90% of the time, the photos we get are crap. Therefore, there may be a delay.

If time is of the essence, perhaps you should authenticate prior to purchase? There is an old saying - poor planning on one's part does not constitute an emergency on someone else's part.

I totally agree with you! I thought I had submitted all the necessary pics (sent about 30) but they got back to me asking for a few more specific shots. Once I sent those in, they were able to give me an answer within 24 hours. I did not request nor expect them to get back to me within any timeframe and was just stating how long it actually took. I have been more than pleased with the service that I received from them and will most definitely use them again in the future.

:goodpost:

I have used A4U several times and am very happy with their service, turnaround and expertise, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

It's been over 2 weeks now and I've sent many follow up emails but still no results or updates :( They did get back to me with the information that the design associates are out on vacation but wouldn't they know the date they might come back? They kept asking if I wanted my fee refunded but I do not, I just want my results :(

I am just curious that if I had paid for the written report due to a paypal/ebay case opened by an ebay buyer claiming that the item is not authentic and I'd need the answers (results) as soon as possible to be able to respond to the case - the deadline to respond to paypal/ebay with the written report would've been passed by now right?

I've always thought that A4U would back people up when these situations arises with fast results/written statements ect...

For me, I just want a yes or no on whether the bag I purchased is authentic or fake... I don't know how much longer it will take to get my results.

The seller of this bag does not accept any returns unless it is proven to be fake. I really don't want too much time to pass and then find out the bag is fake and I would be out of time to make any claims with ebay/paypal as they only give 45 days from the date of purchase right? Is it 45 days from the date of purchase or date of payment to open a case?

I am reaching the 30 days mark to open any cases with ebay/paypal if the bag happens to be a fake. I really don't want to open any claim if I am not sure if the bag is fake or authentic but at the same time I don't want to be stuck with a fake bag and out the hard earned money that I spent.

Yikes, that's a long time! I submitted a bag yesterday for authentication but it's my own bag that I've owned for several years and never had authenticated so I'm not in a big rush. I hope I don't have to wait too long. I hope you hear back from them soon.

Yeah me too... I am not sure what to do as I am reaching the 30 day mark... Should I open a case? That feels wrong because the bag looks and feel authentic and I just needed to confirmation. I am so scared to pass the 45 days and its fake ... :(

Don't worry, you still have two weeks. If you get close to that then file and then that will give you the extra time. :) Did you try posting for authentication here?

If you are not getting the response you expected & time is of the essence
for you ( meaning not waiting til the last minute) I'd suggest another
authenticating service. You may run into the same problem with associates
on holiday but I'd try ..

Have you thought about authenticating the bag here on the forum? You would
get a response fairly quickly one way or the other

Do you have any other recommendations? Base on all the reviews I read here A4U seems to be the best.

This is one of the "pitfalls" (if you want to call it that) of using brand specialists.

From what I've read, the authenticators aren't really on a payroll. They get small stipends for items they authenticate but they do so on their own time between home, family, jobs, obligations, etc.

Summer is an especially difficult time since kids are off from school, parents spend more time with their kids, people go on vacations, etc. Couple that with the fact that A4U is UK-based and has authenticators around the world, time is stretched even more.

Additionally, it's known that A4U has had computer and server problems on and off for months.

I don't know what's going on at this time and I'm not making excuses since I don't know, but just explaining some of what might be occurring.
