What do you think about this one?

eBay: MARC JACOBS AUTHENTIC BLAKE BAG/PURSE GREAT CONDITION!! (item 160025759140 end time Sep-08-06 09:29:50 PDT)

From what I know, Putty MJ's had/have navy lining?
You're right, Putty's have navy/blue suede lining. I don't know what the official color of this bag is, it's not Oatmeal or Ivory or Taupe. Maybe another member will know?

From what I can tell, the bag looks good, I can see the riri zippers with the rounded heads in the last photo. Shape looks good, but I would want to see the nameplate/made in italy markings. I'd also want to confirm a cream colored bag with burgundy suede lining exists.

I requested the name of the color from the seller, and asked when it was bought at Saks. She said it was a friend's that she was selling, but it was bought a year ago. She said the color had no hint of yellow, so she was calling it putty or bone. Dunno, but I passed.

Wow, I didn't know this. I bought one of my MJ bags from Neiman and it didn't come in a box and I bought my zip clutch from MJ store, I didn't get a box either? Did they just give box randomly?

Yup, I didn't have to ask for them. Many members' items came in white MJ boxes, there are several threads on this (members asking whether boxes are kept or tossed out). The next time you order from MJ boutique, you can mention to the SA that you would like yours in a gift box. =) I assume this applies to other brands/boutiques as well.

I was just looking at that Ursula Hobo, and decided that pointed riri zipper = FAKE! Anyone care to confirm?

Fake to me, it looks like plastic. Funny how a clear picture of the back of the zipper is provided.

As for the back of the zipper of the Midnight Elise, seller didn't post any additional picture(s) as requested. From the provided picture, I would say it's not real b/c the 2nd row (M8) appeared a lot smaller than the 1st row (riri); there're some authentic MJ bags with riri zippers where the 2nd row is smaller, but not this Ursula line. These 2 rows are deeply engraved & are about the same height, I don't believe that the angle would blur out the 2nd row only. I didn't look too closely at this seller's previous sold/bought items, not sure how trustworthy he/she is. There were incidents of many sellers posting stolen pictures of authentic bags; authentic bag owers (like members here) just share their bags with others here, they don't post pictures of zippers so many sellers of fakes don't provide zipper picture or can only show a blurry one. I hope I'm wrong & the winning bidder gets an authentic bag.

Agree with Thithi. If you have any doubts about the item, it's better to pass. =) Most of these listings are non-returnable so it's too late when you find out that it's not authentic. Getting someone to provide proof of authenticity is difficult & we buyers are only covered up to $200.

Putty has blue suede lining, White & Ivory have Brown linings.

Christy,
I know that this is at least the third listing for this one, as the reserve has never been met.

Yea, this seller confuses the hell out of me... this is like the 3rd or 4th time for this bag being listed! Now she has a starting price of $600... and less than a day to go, no bids!

The last auction ended for like $660...

I'm confused. :s

Did she think she was going to get more money if she started the auction off at $600???

When I see an auction for items like this with high starting prices I usually don't even bother looking.
