Thanks for the replies . I'm still kinda naive when it comes to ebay. I'm looking at collecting Luella Bartley's bags (only the large ones), particularly the gisele's so I'll probably just revive this thread so I don't keep making new ones about her bags.

What I found funny was neiman marcus="newman marcus" lol.

three_man - Well if you see anything you are interested in - post them here - we'll be happy to help out on authentication. lorihmatthews is really helpful - and I'll do my best too!:p

There have been a few large Giselles listed on EBay - several in fact have been the original Made for Mulberry ones - which were the first manufacture - prior to Luella going out and making them under her own company. You will find one - just be patient - I know - easy to say - hard to do!

Authenticity: two thumbs up (little icons aren't working right now)

One thing to note -- I think the seller is fibbing by saying this bag is new with tags. The style is not new and I don't see any tags on the pictures. If that doesn't bother you, then go for it. It doesn't look abused but I doubt it's off the shelf from the store.

Sorry, I don't know where it was bought. It was a gift to my other half. Though I know the person who gave it to her and I'd be amazed if it was dodgy.

I can take pics of any details on the bag if it helps anyone. The bag is still in my posession.

The tag on the bag says it's made in Turkey. The buyer is saying that it should be made in Italy, but according to this site many of the genuine bags were made in Turkey.

Thanks

Someone else asked about this seller recently. I don't trust them. They have too many Luella bags plus other high end items and their stories of how they acquired the bags don't add up. Plus who doesn't know that the correct name of the high end retail store is Neiman Marcus, not Newman Marcus (see listing)?

I don't think it's authentic, the leather and stitching looks horrible in the close-up picture. If you look closely at the second picture there are some fraying along the edge.
