So seeing if reviving this thread is allowed and useful. Any fanatics still out there? ;D
Instead of coming to a decision as to the future of my Mulberry collection, a deliberation going on for years, while the collection itself magically keeps on growing, I've decided to dive into the rabbit hole of Luella. Like. the. functional. adult. I. am.
I have read this entire thread, but as it is so old, many of the links and pictures don't work. I have read about the main made in tag marker. I have also looked at tons and tons of Gisele bags on Poshmark, Vestiaire, some of the Ebay's and other selling sites. Trying to find easy to identify markers.
I see very little fakes. I find this very alarming. I must be missing a lot, right? Or would most of the low quality fakes have flushed out after all these years? That sounds too utopian...

Is this fake?
I see very little Giseles with a rounded branded front closing and the horse branded since 2001 logo, but the less common, (so making a wild assumption less faked) later models do have both of these... But since Luella stopped in 2009 and I found a picture of some of the later 2009 models announced (https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/luella-designs-two-tone-gisele-bag) It does have the flat front closure.
The quality of this specific bag above does look to be very good though.

The stamping on the hearts looks terrible, so does the stitching. It comes with dust bag and branded tissue paper. Rest of the details look comparable.
Is dust bag colour/ care card colour of any consequence?
I do know that it it advised to look for the made in tag marker, but when the bags are not a lot of money, you do not always want ask for more pictures. I am not above shooting myself in the foot a couple of times and paying some money in tuition to gain the experience, but saving myself some is also always nice.
Above this, I know that when authenticating for some one else you always ask for a lot of details, but I also know from experience, when doing Emma Hill Mulberry for myself, I just need 1 particular detail and that's enough.
It is good thing I am in Europe so all the UK bags are not easily available to me!
