Hi, I'd like to get a couple of opinions on 2 auctions I am looking at. Both are Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard auctions by what looks like reputable sellers. Any help would be appreciated!

First:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLAT-TIFFAN...9329?pt=US_Fine_Bracelets&hash=item4d073bc4e1
This one is odd because there is a separate Peretti hallmark tag on it with some number scrawled on the back -- I have not seen this before. Also, the loop that is attached to the end of the tag seems misshapen.

Second:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLATINUM-TI...422641?pt=Fashion_Jewelry&hash=item35bfa362f1
The Tiffany hallmark is difficult to read in one of the pictures and I think it is odd that the lobster clasp would hook directly onto the hallmark tag. Normally I see a loop attached to the tag, but it is possible that it was lost. Also, Tiffany does not currently sell a .60 ct wt bracelet though it is possible they used to.

Wondering if these 2 Tiffany necklaces are authentic, someone told me the chain might have been changed on 1 of them. If you need more photos let me know (you can click the thumbnails to enlarge the photos). Thanks.

Both of these bracelets look good to me. The Diamond by the Yard pieces have been around for a long time and there have been changes over the years in how it is stamped and the tags near the clasp. These both are older. Stamps will vary depending on when it was made. Some will spell the entire Tiffany & Co out while others simply say T&Co. Some will have a tag next to the clasp and jump closure ring, others will only have one tag next to the spring closure. It will vary depending on when it was made.

I do see the numbers you mentioned in the first listing and can not make out what they are. Some bracelets that have the two tags (next to spring clasp and one next to jump ring closure) intentionally have one side blank. Maybe it was engraved with a date or something along those lines. In pre-owned pieces and not knowing the history, its hard to say.

I also agree that the closure on the second bracelet is different and should have a jump ring to close onto. Since this is preowned and since many people modify and shorten pieces, it hard to say why this is. I can tell you it wasn't sold this way but it could have been intentionally removed for whatever reason.

The Atlas necklace, sadly is not authentic. This goes for both the pendant and chain. The second necklace looks good to me- both the heart and chain.
