Hi, new to the forum although have checked it out in the past to help find gifts for my wife and it has been very helpful thank you very much! Hoping that you all may be able to help me out. I purchased this ring yesterday from an auction and now have questions as to its authenticity as looking at other love bands, it looks quite different... Here are some pics:

I mean there could be a chance that its vintage, however I'm just not overly confident with the depth of the screws and when I look carefully at the cartier stamp, I can even see the dot at the top of the eye although it may jus be my eye sight... Anyways, any comments are welcome and thank you in advance!

Think I've made a mistake! I've asked the seller for more photos, but she claims that's as good as she can get. I admit, I got excited about another addition to my tiffany star collection......I contacted the seller and asked if she had a buy it now price for the star. She said to make an offer, I did and she changed the price and advised me to buy it now. The price was just for the star, not the other broken lock charm. IMO, the lock charm looks incredibly fake. I cannot see any markings on the bottom, plus the markings that are shown look a little "off" to me. As for the star, did tiffany make anything like that before? I was hoping, it was a rare item. Should I take a chance and pay for it anyway? Seller will not provide any clearer photos of the markings.

i'm not a tiffany expert but the font on the slide pendant looks off to me, the engraving doesn't look deep enough to me.

and why would she say the stones in the star are CZ's

this seller seems off to me.... just my 2 cents

Yeah, I agree. The "slide" pendent looks like a broken lock charm. Seller doesn't seem knowledgable at all with tiffany jewelry. And the lock charm/slide looks fake to me too.....which could lead me to believe the other is fake too. Also, she claims to have forgotten to have jeweler check if the stones were real. Idk how someone could "forget". That would be the first question on my mind if I thought I had found a diamond in the rough:D I know, I should probably pass to save myself the grief of getting my money back...

Sadie? Anyone? Sorry, seller is saying she will relist if I don't pay tonight! I'm unsure if I should take a risk and have to return it

The slide charm appears to be a 1837 lock that broke. The star pendant is fake. The hallmark on the back is not correct and Tiffany never made a star like this. The closest item this resembles is the Elsa Peretti's Star of David, but it was never made with cz's or in a diamond pattern similar to what is shown in the ebay listing.
As for whether the slide charm/lock is authentic...there is a lot of reflection in the pictures. It could be the light distorting the image, but as is, I see a few things that don't look right.

I think they are both fake. I asked about markings on the slide/lock and she said there is no copyright tiffany & co 925 printed on the bottom. You can kind of see the bottom in some of the photos, that's why I had asked (because I didn't see anything there).
Thanks again Sadie! I was thinking the markings looked off, but the provided pictures were not clear enough to make a determination. Thanks for saving me the hassle of returning!

I apologize to re-post, but I have to go purchase this tomorrow, as he is holding to me until then. Please, please help- is the lariat style Magic Alhambra supposed to have the VCA markings and numbers on the lobster clasp, because that's where this was, and I couldn't see it without his jeweler's loop.

Thanks again!

I think it's smart...it's nice to get a deal but i've fallen for a few "deals" and it's never fun asing for a refund or filing a claim with paypal! best to pass if you have any doubts.

Hiya, can one of the lovely authentication experts here give me their opinion on the Tiffany large beads bracelet.

The length is 7.5 inches and pictures as below, thanks! One thing that stands out is the fact the user is a newbie and have 0 feedback, but I guess we all have to start somewhere, plus she's selling some good quality clothes like TopShop and Hollister.
