I'm not as familiar with the newer gucci's, something I did notice the 1st & 3rd Auction do not mention anything about authenticity anywhere in the listing. You might take a look at the gucci reference section there are a couple of people who posted pics of their britt bags. Hope someone will come along that is familiar with these bags, good luck!

Hi everyone! I am new to TPF and have spent a good amount of time explorinig the site, and I think you ladies can help me. My boyfriend bought me the Gucci medium bouvier bag with the brown leather trim and red/green stripe down the front. I think it is beautiful of course, but I am unfortunately in love with the vintage Gucci styles. He has given me the option of picking a different one if I prefer and since I don't know where else to find the vintage styles, I turned to ebay. I was hoping someone can help me authenticate any/all of them? I have to be honest in that I don't really know what to look for in the vintage bags. Comments on styles would also be appreciated!

ktoll....these all look good to me, but the last one seems to be in the best condition. It seems to have held up very well. I like the vintage gucci too. There are many still nice ones out there, but you do have to be careful...there are also many fakes. Good luck!!

Hi SophiaLee, I appreciate the response! What makes you undecided on whether it is real or fake, I'm curious? i will definitely file a complaint if not real, but what do I look for when I get it to determine that? Also, if anyone else sees this, here is the Gucci bag I recently paid for and am expecting any day... I'm just scared it isn't real! If anyone else has any insight, here it is:

Hello all,I purchased this bag from Ebay and the seller says it's authentic. I saw Lindsay Lohan with the same bag, except hers is a bigger. However, overall, it looks authentic. Please advise ASAP. Thanks so much!!!!

The bag looks ok to me. :yes: Maybe you can post a picture of serial number when you get it.

Also, the material is a thicker burlap like linen, which seems to be of a very good quality, and there is a price tag inside (not attached), but the seller included it. If I can post pictures, I will definitely try. Do you know if Gucci boutiques can authenticate bags (the closest one for me is at the westchester mall), or Gucci 5th ave... thanks!

Usually, they won't authenticate, but you could try taking it in. I don't think you need to be worried though. It looks good, but it would be nice to see more pictures to be sure.

The bag looks off to me. :sad: I don't like the cards it came with in the first picture either. Do you have a picture of the inside tag and serial number?

Ohh okay Emald37, thanks. I have one more concern. The seller said brand new with tags, but the is wear on the corners! The metallic leather seems to have faded a bit on the corners, which I am pissed off about. It isn't hugely noticeable, but it is to me of course. Why say brand new with tags if it isn't? I understand I paid far below the sticker price, but regardless, that is misrepresentation IMO. :sad:
