Your bag looks good but yes you're right, the tag looks different from suzie's. Looks like patent leather (what makes you think it's plastic) as suzy's is grainy (like my mine, on the saddle, i must admit it...) Hmmm your case deserves a little research :hrmm: Let's see if we can find some other shoulder flights to compare...
Here's one to compare it to, has the smooth leather tag albeit black and double pocket:

I've found this inner tag pic....

It's patent leather tag, just like yours.:smile1:

Found another thread from MayDay listing out how to tell the different between real and fake Flight:

http://forum.purseblog.com/dior/authentication-tips-67655-5.html

MayDay's post is on page 5. Notice the screw on the D hinge. Mine has a very small barely noticeable one:

I decided to do the needle test by Moon anyhow. Where the needle touched the plastic, it melted. I still didnt believe it so I tested it on the inner zipper pully as well, and now I have two melt marks. I plan on emailing the seller to let her know she sold me a fake purse, and see what happens then.

Thank you all for the help. You guys are great.

PS - I thought the auction with two front pockets is fake, all the Flight east/west bags I've seen have only one single pocket.

reported the b&^%*^rd...and had a laugh at that what a load of BS ...

Oh I know wasn't that a hoot! I'm sure Ebay will be very afraid...NOT!

I know I am no expert on the Dior Samourai but I made my first Ebay guide about them. I just can't stand the thought of someone getting taken on fake bags.
Please have a look at it and let me know what you think. I was only allowed to add 10 photos. Any corrections or suggestions are appreciated. If it can save even a few people from buying a fake I will feel happy for helping.

Here's the guide:

The flight comes in both single and double pocket, the one in the auction is not fake and nor is your bag.

What may is referring is the screws above the D not where you have circled.

I haven't seen any of the Dior 1947 bags in person but just from photos I've seen, the hang tag on this just doesn't look right. Any opinions? I'd hate to see someone spend that kind of money if it's a fake.

Hello,

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. :flowers:

Just one more quick note about this bag...if you look within the above pic, beind the tag is a piece of leather...most of the fakes attached a piece of leather (don't ask me why). Also, the Christian Dior tag is attached with a plastic barb, when the tag should be attached with a white piece of string. best wishes!

Oh I see what you are referring to, not the hinge but the tiny screw.

The link to the flight bag (other auction) is a reputable seller :confused1:.

The D you have pictured is that the front one?

Yeah, the picture where I circled is the "D" in the front of the bag, which can open to secure to the detachable strap on the bottom.

This is what my ebay seller said:

I can assure you, this bag is 100% authentic, I do not buy nor re-sell fakes. I bought this bag at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta at Phipps Plaza. If it's a fake then they sold me a fake! You can send my name to whoever you want, sellers will see my feedback is impeccable and I do not sell fake items.

Hello...I just want to confirm, is where you circled actually hollow (as if a screw was put through it) or is there just a circle into the metal? Thanks!

Where I circled, there's a actual flat raised circle. It's very very flat, but still a circle. It looks like as if someone put the screw in but sanded off the actual screw head until 1/10 of a MM remains on the surface. I don't know if that makes sense. :confused1:

I uploaded another picture:
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c85/Elenriel/FlightOut7.jpg

The top circle shows the back of the top zipper, which says:

Christian
Dior

Paris

The second circle shows the location of this "bump". It's hard to see because it's barely there.

Thank you all again for your time and help. My husband keeps telling me to stop bothering you all over a "a pice of leather". I may make him sleep on the couch for insulting my purse like that! ;)

The gaucho i wanted was sold to someone else :cursing:
the seller said he wanted time to think about sending it to Canada n then someone bought it right away :crybaby:i hope it went to a tPFer or someone who values it
n the search continues for another gaucho :search:

If you look at the auction posted by myself and moon that seller appears very reputable and that bag has the little screw you are referring to, also if you look closely at the first pic of Suzy's hers also looks to have that same mark on the D.

Then I have looked at others and there is nothing on the D :confused1:, everything else appears to check out on your bag :shrugs:
