Dear all,

I bought a Dior bag from eBay (!!!!) last year. The seller bought this in Hawaii (also specified on the authenticity certificate). Before I bought it, I asked my friends to take a look and they all thought it was authentic. So I went ahead and bought it.

However, a few days ago I sold it here in Bangkok, Thailand. My buyer has asked around and claimed that my bag is fake. So I'm writing to you here.

The dustbag, the authenticity certificate card and the bag itself look authentic to me. I previously owned a few items from Dior and I find no difference in this one from others.

However, the white leather label tag inside the bag, instead of saying "Christian Dior. Paris", says "Dior World Festival 2004". I'm getting seriously confused here.

Does this mean this Dior bag is fake? Or is it some special edition sold in Hawaii only?

Please let me know urgently. Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. I have tried a Dior boutique in Bangkok but the ladies there did not help at all. :crybaby:

daisiedaze, I haven't seen that tag before. I have a few Diors including older items from the StreetChic and Girly collection but none of the tags have "Dior World Festival"...:confused1:

Hello Angie!

I believe your bag is authentic and very rare! It is from an event of which was held in Hawaii called "World Festival - Hawaii’s Fashion Week." The inner tag is marked as so, because the item is specifically sold during or at the event. I have seen other Dior handbags upon eBay with the same inner tag marked as yours is, although they are rare and not many. Please wait for other PFers to post and see what they think...Nat and Chic will be along shortly to give the final stamp of approval. You may want to send the buyer the following links, so they may see why the handbag inner tag is marked as so. :flowers:

Hello!

Unfortunately, I believe this is fake. Authentic Dior wallets should come with a box that says "Christian Dior" and a matching "Christian Dior" dust bag (the print upon the dust bag should be grey, similar to the grey that is printed upon handbag dust bags). The dust bag within the corresponding auction has black printing upon it.

Also, an authentic Dior wallet or Dior accessory usually comes with a grey plastic authenticity card.

I will provide some examples of a authentic wallet documents and fakes. I have been thinking of writing a guide for Dior wallets and accessories. best wishes! :flowers:
